Claims
- 1. A method of producing a compound of formula (V): ##STR148## wherein R.sup.21a, R.sup.22, R.sup.23, R.sup.25 and R.sup.26 each represent, individually, hydrogen or an alkyl group, provided that any of two selected from the group consisting of R.sup.21a, R.sup.22 and R.sup.23, taken together, can form a cycloalkyl group; R.sup.7 represents an alkyl group; and R.sup.28a represents hydrogen, an alkoxyl group, or --OSi(R.sup.9 R.sup.10 R.sup.11) in which R.sup.9, R.sup.10 and R.sup.11 each represent an alkyl group; and R.sup.29 is an alkyl group,
- comprising the step of allowing compound of formula (IIIa): ##STR149## wherein R.sup.21a, R.sup.22, R.sup.23, R.sup.25, R.sup.26, R.sup.7 and R.sup.28a are respectively the same as defined in formula (V), to react with an alkylating agent of formula R.sup.29 --X, wherein R.sup.29 is an alkyl group and X is a halogen atom, an alkyl or aryl sulfonyloxy group, or an alkylsulfuric group, in the presence of a base.
- 2. The method of producing the compound of formula (V) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the compound of formula (IIIa) is obtained by allowing a compound of formula (IVa): ##STR150## wherein R.sup.21a, R.sup.22, R.sup.23, R.sup.7 and R.sup.28a are respectively the same as defined in formula (IIIa), and R.sup.30 is an alkyl group, to react with a metal hydride or an alkyl metal reagent.
