Claims
- 1. 3,7-Disubstituted-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid (syn isomer) compound of the formula: ##STR7## wherein R.sup.1 is 1,2,3-thiadiazolyl;
- R.sup.2 is lower alkyl;
- R.sup.3 is carboxy or protected carboxy; and
- R.sup.4 is thiadiazolylthio; and
- pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
- 2. The compounds of claim 1, wherein R.sup.3 is carboxy.
- 3. The compounds of claim 2 wherein
- R.sup.2 is methyl, and
- R.sup.4 is 1,3,4-thiadiazolylthio.
- 4. The compound of claim 3, which is 7-[2-methoxyimino-2-(1,2,3-thiadiazol-4-yl)acetamido]-3-(1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)thiomethyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid (syn isomer.)
- 5. The compounds of claim 3, wherein R.sup.2 is methyl and R.sup.4 is 1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-ylthio.
- 6. An antibacterial composition comprising an effective amount of a compound of claim 1 in association with a pharmaceutically acceptable, substantially non-toxic carrier or excipient.
