Claims
- 1. A method for operating a refrigeration unit adapted to utilize refrigerant R-22 as the refrigerant medium comprising substituting for R-22 a refrigerant composition consisting essentially of:(i) chlorodifluoromethane in an amount from about 70% to about 95% by weight; and (ii) the balance of hexafluoropropylene.
- 2. The method according to claim 1 wherein the composition is a substitute for refrigerant R-22 consists essentially of:(i) chlorodifluoromethane in an amount from about 88% by weight to about 93% by weight; and (iii) the balance of hexafluoropropylene.
- 3. The method according to claim 2 wherein the composition includes chlorodifluoromethane in an amount of about 93% and the balance is hexafluoropropylene.
