The Invention is a new method of playing the sport of Cricket.
This method of playing Cricket is based on the a set of rules, which I call the RuleBook and which also has been authored by me.
The current methods of playing Cricket are limited to team games i.e. Test Cricket, One Day Internationals, T20 Cricket, T10 Cricket etc. However, Crickalympics makes Cricket an Individual Sport.
This is the Next Level Cricketing Style after ODIs and T20s in Cricket. This new method of playing Cricket, makes a Cricket Match, an Individual sport. Here, each player Bats, Bowls, Fields and Wicket Keeps i.e. All-round performance. The match is designed in the same way.
The RuleBook consists of 5 main Rules in addition to the Laws of Cricket. This written document contains rules or laws ranging from the Batting Order to Bowling Order to the Points System which is the basis for Winning and Scoring.
Any Tournament based on Crickalympics, is a platform where Cricket Players can showcase their talent and emerge as the all-round bests in the Game.
This Invention is based on a RuleBook, as described below:
Note: Other than this Rule Book, the basic cricketing rules shall be same as provided by the ICC Standard Handbook for players as well as Umpires. The Rules have been written keeping in mind male gender and should be considered equally for the opposite gender according to English Grammar.
1.1 The game shall be played between 12 players.
1.2 Each player bats, bowls and fields including wicket keeping.
2.1 Single Batsman bats at a time.
2.2 Each Batsman gets 5 overs (30 balls) to bat with a compulsory batting power play of 2 overs (12 consecutive balls).
2.3 A Bowler can bowl a maximum of 30 balls (5 overs). So, a maximum of 60 overs can be bowled in a game.
2.4 The Fielding pattern is set by the Bowler himself keeping in mind the basic rules of power play and other basic rules as mentioned in the ICC Standard Handbook.
2.5 A match is won by the player who, at the end of game, has the highest Score. Score is calculated as per the rules mentioned later in this book.
3.1 The Batting order is decided as follows—
3.1.1 All players shall stand in a line.
3.1.2 The youngest player in the game comes forward and stands facing the remaining.
3.1.3 Now, the eldest player in the game comes forward and stands behind the youngest one.
3.1.4 He picks up a number from 1 to 12 with his fingers and asks him who's.
3.1.5 The former one points towards anyone of the players including the two of them and the number becomes the player's batting order.
3.1.6 This is repeated until a number is assigned to each of them.
3.2 The next Batsman to bat will be the wicket keeper. So, the 1st batsman in the batting order wicket keeps for the last one.
3.3 The Bowling order starts from reverse batting order.
3.4 If a batsman gets out in an over, the next batsman plays the same bowler's over again from start i.e. the bowler gets the advantage of bowling an over (6 balls) to the next batsman from start.
4.1 While running a run, a Batsman can be run out at either end of the pitch.
4.2 In case, if a player uses a substitute, the points earned by the substitute shall not be added in the player's score.
5.1 The winner shall be decided on the basis of a Scoring System which is as follows—
5.1.1 Batsman:
1 Run=+1 Point
1 Six=+8 points
1 Four=+6 points
Half Century=+10 Bonus Points
5.1.2 Bowler:
