Claims
- 1. A marine radar transmission and reception system comprising:
- a. means for generating transmission pulse waves;
- b. first and second antennae for emitting the transmission pulse radar waves in the same direction as first and second emitted pulse radar waves of first and second polarization modes respectively and receiving first and second reflected pulse radar waves of the first and second emitted pulse radar waves respectively;
- c. first and second receiving circuits with the outputs of the first and second antennae, respectively;
- d. a parallel circuit of first and second gate circuits gating the output of the first or second receiving circuit or the sum of the outputs of the first and second receiving circuits; and
- e. control means having an amplifier for amplifying the output of the first receiving circuit, a first subtractor for producing a first difference output between the outputs of the first and second receiving circuits, a second subtractor for producing a second difference output between the outputs of the amplifier and the second receiving circuit, and first and second discriminators for discriminating the polarity of the first and second difference outputs, respectively;
- f. in which the first and second gate circuits are controlled with outputs of the first and second discriminators of the control means, respectively whereby sea clutter eliminated received pulse waves are obtained from the parallel circuit.
- 2. A marine radar transmission and reception system comprising:
- a. means for generating first and second transmission pulse radar waves of first and second carrier wave lengths, respectively;
- b. first and second antennae for emitting the first and second transmission pulse waves in the same direction as first and second emitted pulse radar waves respectively and receiving first and second reflected pulse waves of the first and second emitted pulse radar waves respectively;
- c. first and second receiving circuits supplied with the outputs of the first and second antennae respectively;
- d. a parallel circuit of first and second gate circuits gating the output of the first or second receiving circuit or the sum of the outputs of the first and second receiving circuits; and
- e. control means having an amplifier for amplifying the output of the first receiving circuit, a first subtractor for producing a first difference output between the outputs of the first and second receiving circuits, a second subtractor for producing a second difference output between the outputs of the amplifier and the second receiving circuit, and first and second discriminators for discriminating the polarity of the first and second difference outputs, respectively;
- f. in which the first and second gate circuits are controlled with outputs of the first and second discriminators of the control means, respectively, whereby sea clutter eliminated received pulse waves are obtained from the parallel circuit.
- 3. A marine radar transmission and reception system comprising:
- a. means for generating a first transmission pulse radar wave of a first pulse width and a first carrier wave length and a second transmission pulse radar wave of a second pulse width and a second carrier wave length;
- b. an antenna for emitting the first and second pulse radar waves in the same direction as first and second emitted pulse radar waves and receiving first and second reflected pulse waves of the first and second emitted pulse waves;
- c. first and second receiving circuit being supplied with the output of the antenna and driving first and second received pulse waves corresponding to the first and second reflected pulse radar waves, respectively;
- d. a parallel circuit of first and second gate circuits gating the output of the first or second received pulse wave or the sum of the outputs of the first and second received pulse radar waves; and
- e. control means having an amplifier for amplifying the first received pulse wave of the first receiving circuit, a first subtractor for producing a first difference output between the first and second received pulse waves of the first and second receiving circuits, a second subtractor for producing a second difference output between the output of the ammplifier and the second received pulse radar wave of the second receiving circuit, and first and second discriminators for discriminating the polarity of the first and second difference outputs respectively;
- f. in which the first and second gate circuits are controlled with outputs of the first and second discriminators of the control means, respectively, whereby sea clutter eliminated received pulse waves are obtained from the parallel circuit.
