Claims
- 1. An apparatus comprising
- a first oiling head for oiling a plurality of travelling fibril bundles disposed in juxtaposed relation;
- a thread guide for guiding the oiled fibril bundles in juxtaposed relation;
- a second oiling head for oiling the fibril bundles downstream of said thread guide relative to the direction of travel of the fibril bundles;
- a false twister downstream of said second oiling head for imparting a false twist to each respective fibril bundle passing therethrough, said false twister including a plurality of openings for passage of a respective fibril bundle therethrough; and
- a second thread guide downstream of said false twister for bringing the false twisted fibril bundles together in juxtaposed relation without forming a yarn.
- 2. An apparatus as set forth in claim 1, which further comprises a stretching stage downstream of said second thread guide for stretching the juxtaposed false twisted fibril bundles and a texturing stage downstream of said stretching stage for texturing the stretched fibril bundles.
- 3. An apparatus as set forth in claim 1 wherein said false twister has an air supply bore for blowing air tangentially into each said opening to twist a fibril bundle passing therethrough.
- 4. An apparatus as set forth in claim 2 wherein said false twister has a plurality of introduction slots, each slot opening tangentially into a respective opening for introduction of a fibril bundle therein.
- 5. An apparatus comprising:
- a first oiling head for oiling a plurality of travelling fibril bundles disposed in juxtaposed relation;
- a first thread guide for guiding the oiled fibril bundles in juxtaposed relation;
- a second oiling head for oiling the fibril bundles downstream of said thread guide relative to the direction of travel of the fibril bundles;
- a second thread guide downstream of said second oiling head for bringing the fibril bundles together in juxtaposed relation without forming a yarn; and
- a stretching stage downstream of said second thread guide for stretching the juxtaposed fibril bundles.
- 6. An apparatus as set forth in claim 5 which further comprises a plurality of pins between said first oiling head and said thread guide for separating the fibril bundles into spaced relation to each other.
- 7. An apparatus as set forth in claim 6 wherein said first thread guide has a plurality of circumferential grooves, each groove being disposed to receive and guide a respective fibril bundle therein.
- 8. An apparatus as set forth in claim 5 which further comprises a plurality of pins disposed perpendicularly of said first oiling head for re-orienting the fibril bundles into a plane perpendicular to said first oil head and parallel to said second oiling head.
- 9. An apparatus as set forth in claim 5 wherein said second thread guide has a groove with a concave base to provide for juxtaposed passage of the fibril bundles.
