Claims
- 1. A presetting table for preparing a system of converting tools in a stripping station in a converting press, the table comprising
a stand; first support means on the stand, means for fixing a stripper holder plate to the first support means; second support means for supporting a central stripping board in contact with or near to a stripper holder plate supported on the first support means; means for fixing the central stripping board in the adjustment position.
- 2. The table of claim 1, wherein the first means for supporting the stripper holder plate and the second support means for supporting the central stripping board respectively comprise first and second parallel support bars each for supporting a front edge of the stripper holder plate and a front edge of the central stripping board, respectively; the support bars being fastened so as to be positioned with respect to each other to reproduce the longitudinal adjustment of the converting press to a first rule.
- 3. The table of claim 1, wherein the stripper holder plate and the central stripping board are held vertically and in positions within reach of an operator.
- 4. The table of claim 3, wherein the first means for fixing the stripper holder plate and the second support means for supporting the central stripping board respectively comprise two fixed adjusting studs, each stud having a notch or sliding rail for receiving a centering stop along the machine axis of the stripper holder plate and the central stripping board respectively, wherein the two notches or sliding rails are centered in the same plane perpendicular to the plane of the central stripping board.
- 5. The table of claim 4, wherein the two notches or sliding rails are centered in the same plane perpendicular to the plane of the central stripping board.
- 6. The table of claim 5, wherein the first means for fixing the stripper holder plate further comprises a latch disposed on the stand positioned for being engageable with a rear edge of the stripper holder plate.
- 7. The table of claim 6, further comprising a movable carriage slidable on the stand in a direction of the table corresponding to a machine axis, and the latch being mounted on the movable carriage.
- 8. The table of claim 3, wherein the second means for supporting the central stripping board further comprises a pivot arm pivotal in a plane parallel to the plane of the central stripping board, the arm having a pivot axis disposed above the support bars a distance greater than the maximum longitudinal size of the central stripping board.
- 9. The table of claim 8, wherein the pivot arm has a free end, a presser finger at the free end, a spring return acting at the presser finger for exerting a pressure for holding the central stripping board against the stripper holder plate.
- 10. The table of claim 1, further comprising a tool support on the stand for a gripper tool holder, a gripper tool holder on the tool support and being movable between the adjustment position and a position giving the operator free access to the central stripping board.
- 11. A presetting table for preparing a system of converting tools in a stripping station in a converting press, wherein the table comprises
a stand; a first support means on the stand, means for fixing a stripper holder plate to the first support means; second support means for supporting a central stripping board in contact with or near to a stripper holder plate supported on the first support means; means for fixing the central stripping board in the adjustment position; a pull out frame located at the stripping station, the pull out frame including adjustable bars and telescopic pins adapted to be carried by the adjustable bars; the pull out frame further including a plurality of bar fixing means in an indexed arrangement; a tool support on the stand, a gripper tool holder on the tool support and being movable between the adjustment position and a position giving the operator free access to the central stripping board; the tool support for the gripper tool holder comprises a pivoting frame having a pivot axis on the stand, the support for the gripper tool holder comprising the same plurality of bar fixing means for fixing the bars in the same indexed arrangement.
- 12. An assembly of components for preparing an upper stripping die for use in a method for preparing a system of converting tools in a stripping station in a converting press wherein the assembly of components comprises at least a stripper holder plate having a set of strippers thereon for preparing one central stripping board and comprises an upper stripping die;
the stripper holder plate having a set of strippers thereon for preparing the upper stripping die; the stripper holder plate having a plurality of openings therein; the plate having a surface that is at least partially covered by a first layer of hook fibers; each stripper of the set of strippers being a separate element and each stripper including a base that is at least partially covered with a second layer of mating hook fibers that are adapted to cooperate with the hook fibers of the first layer, and the hook fibers of the second layer being assembled to the hook fibers of the first layer for forming the stripper holder plate.
- 13. The assembly of claim 12, wherein at least some of these strippers includes a block of resilient foam above the base thereof.
- 14. The assembly of claim 12, further comprising a set of support blocks comprised of soft foam and including a base, and the bases further bearing a second layer of mating hook fibers for being hooked to the first layer of hook fibers.
