Claims
- 1. A plant for refining foodstuffs comprising a depressurized environment, means for conveying unrefined foodstuff into said depressurized environment, refining means located within said depressurized environment, said refining means being adapted to produce a refined foodstuff having a consistency different from the consistency of said unrefined foodstuff, collection means within said depressurized environment for collecting said refined foodstuff, waste collection means within said depressurized environment for separately collecting said unrefined foodstuff, means for creating and maintaining a prescribed negative pressure within said environment, first means for withdrawing said refined foodstuff from said environment and second means for withdrawing said unrefined foodstuff from said environment separate from said first means for withdrawing.
- 2. The plant for refining foodstuff recited in claim 1 further comprising within said depressurized environment an evaporation tank, means for conveying said unrefined foodstuff into said tank, said tank being adapted to cool and/or de-aerate said unrefined foodstuff so as to produce vapors, means for withdrawing said vapors from said tank, a condenser, means for conveying said vapors into said condenser, said condenser being adapted to form condensate from said vapors, a keep tank for collecting said condensate, means for withdrawing said condensate from said keep tank, and means for discharging said unrefined foodstuff from said evaporation tank into said refining means.
- 3. The plant for refining foodstuff recited in claim 2 further comprising within said depressurized environment a recycle line connecting said keep tank with said collection means for said refined foodstuff.
- 4. A plant for refining foodstuff comprising at least one air and fluid-tight casing inside which is housed means for refining foodstuffs, a depressurized evaporation tank, means for conveying unrefined foodstuff into said evaporation tank, said evaporation tank being adapted to cool and/or de-aerate said unrefined foodstuff so as to produce vapors, a pipeline connected to the top of said evaporation tank, a condenser, said pipeline being adapted to withdraw said vapors from said evaporation tank and carry them to said condenser, said condenser being adapted to produce condensate from said vapors, a valve-controlled line connected to the bottom of said evaporation tank, said line being adapted to convey said unrefined foodstuff from said evaporation tank into said casing, a valve-controlled inlet for conveying unrefined foodstuff directly into said casing, a collection tank in communication with the bottom of said casing for collecting refined foodstuff which exits from said casing, a keep tank in communication with said condenser for collecting said condensate, a waste tank in communication with said casing for separately collecting any remaining unrefined foodstuff, a pump connected to said collection tank for withdrawing said refined foodstuff, a pump connected to said waste tank for separately withdrawing said unrefined foodstuff, a pump connected to said keep tank for withdrawing said condensate, a second pump connected to said keep tank for generating a negative pressure in said plant, and a valve-controlled recycle line connecting said keep tank with said collection tank for said refined foodstuff.
