Abstract
A sling connector is provided for a weapon. The sling connector comprises a rectangular body having opposed and parallel first and second bars. The body also has a third central bar between and parallel to the first and second bars. The central bar defines an elongated passage with a cord loop passing through the passage.
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to triglides, and more particularly to triglides attaching slings to a weapon.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The majority of slings on the market use triglides attaching QDs, attaching the sling to your weapon or for adjusting the length of your sling and they come in various shapes, colors, and materials.

Most slings are adjusted for length by sliding a triglide back and forth across the webbing by placing your hand on the triglide or by using a pull tab to move the triglide forward and backward across the webbing, i.e. the Blue Force Gear Vickers Sling is an example of this. This system uses a triglide with a custom post that is built onto the triglide and then a pull tab is installed so the unit can be pulled forward and backward to adjust the length of your sling.

The limitations of the prior art are addressed by providing a sling connector for a weapon. The sling connector comprises a rectangular body having opposed and parallel first and second bars. The body also has a third central bar between and parallel to the first and second bars. The central bar defines an elongated passage with a cord loop passing through the passage.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIGS. 1-13 show various views of a preferred embodiment of the invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

FIG. 1 Prior Art showing triglides in various shapes, colors, and materials.

FIG. 2 Prior Art showing a triglide with custom post for easy adjusting.

FIG. 3 shows a triglide that allows rapid adjustment of sling.

FIG. 4 shows a triglide that allows rapid adjustment of sling.

FIG. 5 shows a triglide with hole drilled through.

FIG. 6 shows pull tab for manipulating forward and backward movement of the triglide.

FIG. 7 is a perspective view of the triglide.

FIG. 8 is another perspective view of the triglide.

FIG. 9 is a side dimensional view of the triglide.

FIG. 10 is a side view of the triglide.

FIG. 11 is a top view of the triglide.

FIG. 12 is a front dimensional view of the triglide.

FIG. 13 is a front/back view of the triglide.

Our newly redesigned triglide allows a rapid adjustment of the operator's sling while maintaining a very low-profile. As you can see from the pictures it appears to be a standard triglide, see FIGS. 3 and 4.

However, the T-10 Triglide is a custom built triglide and has a ⅜″ hole completely drilled through the center post and then counter-sunk, see FIG. 5.

Next, 550 Paracord is pushed through the hole and a knot is tied at the end. This becomes the pull tab and allows you to manipulate the forward and backward movement of the T-10 Triglide, thus quickly adjusting the length of your sling. The T-10 Triglide will be offered in three different sizes (1″, 1¼″, and 1½″) for the most common width of webbing used for slings, see FIG. 6.

Claims
