Claims
- 1. A compound of the formula ##STR9## wherein R is naphthyl or phenyl optionally monosubstituted by c.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, halogen, trifluoromethyl or nitro or optionally disubstituted by halogen or halogen and nitro; imidazolyl; or pyridyl, R.sup.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl or C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, R.sup.5 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl or C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, R.sup.6 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, Chd 1-C.sub.6 -alkylthio-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxycarbonyl-C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkyl or R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 taken together are the group --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 --0-CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 --or a --(CH.sub.2).sub.n --group in which n is an integer of 2 to 7.
- 2. A compound in accordance with claim 1, .alpha.-acetyl-N, N-dimethyl-3-nitrostyrenesulfonamide.
- 3. A compound in accordance with claim 1, .alpha.-acetyl-n-butyl-N-methyl-3-nitrostyrenesulfonamide.
- 4. A compound in accordance with claim 1, .alpha.-acetyl-N, N-diethyl-3-nitrostyrenesulfonamide.
- 5. A compound in accordance with claim 1, .alpha.-acetyl-N-(2-methoxyethyl)-N-methyl-3-nitrostyrenesulfonamide.
- 6. A compound in accordance with claim 1, .alpha.-(cyclohexylcarbonyl)N,N -dimethyl-3-nitrostyrenesulfonamide.

The invention relates to dihydropyridine derivatives. In particular, it relates to dihydropyridine derivatives of the formula ##STR4## wherein R is aryl or a heterocyclic residue with up to three hereto atoms selected from oxygen, nitrogen and sulfur, R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 each independently, is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl or C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, R.sup.2 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, R.sup.4 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkenyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkynyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, cyano-C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, halo-C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, hydroxy-C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, .omega.,.omega.,.omega.-trifluoro-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1-C.sub.6 -alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxycarbonyl-C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkanoyloxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkenyloxy -C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkylthio-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, benzyloxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, phenyl optionally substituted by halogen, cyano, di-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl-amino, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, trifluoromethyl or nitro or phenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl optionally substituted by halogen, cyano, di-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl-amino, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, trifluoromethyl or nitro, R.sup.5 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl or C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, R.sup.6 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy-C.sub.1 C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkylthio-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1-C.sub.6 -alkoxycarbonyl-C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkyl or R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 taken together are the group -CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 -O-CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 -or or a -(CH.sub.2).sub.n - group in which n is an integer of 2 to 7, in the form of stereoisomers, diastereoisomeric mixtures racemates and optical antipodes.
The compounds of formula I are useful in the control or prevention of illnesses or in the improvement of health, especially in the control or prevention of angina pectoris, ischemia, high blood pressure and migraine.
