Claims
- 1. A 1-(pyridyl)pyrazole of the general formula I ##STR63## where the substituents have the following meanings: R.sup.1 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -haloalkyl;
- R.sup.2 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkynyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkenyloxy, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkynyloxy, each of which can be substituted by 1-6 halogen atoms, NO.sub.2, cyano, halogen, thiocyanato, amino, or further a radical NH--C(.dbd.O)R.sup.9 ;
- R.sup.3 is amino, halogen, thiocyanato, cyano, nitro, hydroxyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -haloalkyl, or further a radical S(O).sub.n R.sup.8, N(R.sup.10)R.sup.11, OR.sup.12, SR.sup.13, N.dbd.C(R.sup.14)--N(R.sup.15)R.sup.16 or, if R.sup.1 =hydrogen, additionally N.dbd.C(R.sup.11)R.sup.18 ;
- R.sup.4 is halogen, a radical XR.sup.19 ;
- R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 independently of one another are halogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -haloalkyl;
- R.sup.7 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkynyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylamino or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -dialkylamino;
- R.sup.8 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, chlorine, amino or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylamino;
- R.sup.9 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkynyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy;
- R.sup.10 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl or a radical C(.dbd.O)R.sup.7 ;
- R.sup.11 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkynyl, a radical C(.dbd.O)R.sup.7 or S(O).sub.n R.sup.8 ;
- R.sup.12 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -haloalkoxy, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkenyloxy, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkynyloxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 -alkoxycarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl;
- R.sup.13 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl;
- R.sup.14 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl;
- R.sup.15 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl;
- R.sup.16 and R.sup.17 independently of one another are hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl;
- R.sup.18 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl or C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkynyl and
- R.sup.19 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkenyl or C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkynyl, where these groups can carry up to 6 halogen atoms, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl which for its part can carry up to three C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl radicals or up to 5 halogen atoms, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -cyanoalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, 3-oxetanyl, carboxyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylaminocarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -dialkylaminocarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkenylaminocarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkynylaminocarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkenylaminocarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkynylaminocarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -(.alpha.-alkylalkyliden)iminoxy-C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, cyclopropylmethyl, or, if X=O, additionally C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylamino, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -dialkylamino, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkylidenimino or .alpha.-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)-C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkylidenimino;
- x is oxygen, sulfur, S.dbd.O or SO.sub.2 ;
- halogen is fluorine, chlorine, bromine or iodine and
- n is 0, 1 or 2,
- and the N-oxides and the agriculturally utilizable salts of the compounds I,
- with the exception of 5-amino-1-(3,6-dichloro-5-trifluoromethyl-2-pyridyl)-4-cyanopyrazole.
- 2. A 1-(pyridyl)pyrazole of the formula I as defined in claim 1,
- where
- R.sup.1 is hydrogen;
- R.sup.2 is alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkoxy, NO.sub.2, cyano, halogen, thiocyanato, amino, C(.dbd.O)R.sup.7, S(O).sub.n RB or NH--C(.dbd.O)R.sup.9 ;
- R.sup.3 is amino, halogen, thiocyanato, cyano, nitro, hydroxyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -haloalkyl, S(O).sub.n R.sup.8, N(R.sup.10)R.sup.11, OR.sup.12, SR.sup.13, N.dbd.C(R.sup.14)--N(R.sup.15)R.sup.16 or, if R.sup.1 =hydrogen, additionally N.dbd.C(R.sup.17 )R.sup.18 ;
- R.sup.4 is halogen, a radical XR.sup.19 ;
- R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 independently of one another are halogen or trifluoromethyl;
- R.sup.7 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylamino;
- R.sup.8 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, trifluoromethyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, chlorine, amino, methylamino or ethylamino;
- R.sup.9 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy;
- R.sup.10 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl or C(.dbd.O)R.sup.7 ;
- R.sup.11 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkynyl, C(.dbd.O)R.sup.7 or S(O).sub.n R.sup.8 ;
- R.sup.12 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -haloalkoxy, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkynyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 -alkoxycarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl;
- R.sup.13 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl;
- R.sup.14,R.sup.16, and R.sup.17 are hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl;
- R.sup.15 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl;
- R.sup.18 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl or C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl;
- R.sup.19 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkynyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -cyanoalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, or, if X.dbd.O, additionally C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylamino or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylidenimino;
- X is oxygen or sulfur;
- halogen is fluorine or chlorine and
- n is 0, 1 or 2.
- 3. A herbicidal composition comprising a herbicidally active amount of at least 1-(pyridyl)pyrazole of the formula I or an agriculturally utilizable salt of I as defined in claim 1, and at least one inert liquid and/or solid carrier and also, if desired, at least one adjuvant.
- 4. A process for the production of herbicidally active compositions, which comprises mixing a herbicidally active amount of at least one 1-(pyridyl)pyrazole of the formula I or an agriculturally utilizable salt of I as defined in claim 1, and at least one inert liquid and/or solid carrier and also, if desired, at least one adjuvant.
- 5. A process for the production of compositions having desiccant and/or defoliant activity, which comprises mixing an amount having desiccant and/or defoliant activity of at least one 1-(pyridyl)pyrazole of the formula I or an agriculturally utilizable salt of I as defined in claim 1, and at least one inert liquid and/or solid carrier and also, if desired, at least one adjuvant.
- 6. A process for controlling undesired vegetation, which comprises allowing a herbicidally active amount of at least one substituted 1-(pyridyl)pyrazole of the formula I or of an agriculturally utilizable salt of I as defined in claim 1 to act on plants, their habitat or on seed.
