Claims
- 1. A process for treating hypertension which comprises systemically administering to a mammal in need of said treatment an antihypertensive effective amount of a compound having the formula ##STR27## or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, amino, lower alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms inclusive, or NHCO.sub.2 R.sub.2 in which R.sub.2 is lower alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms inclusive.
- 2. The process of claim 1 wherein said compound is 4-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-2[4-(5-ethoxycarbonylamino-1,2,3-thiadiazole-4-carbonyl)-piperazin-1-yl]quinazoline.
- 3. The process of claim 1 wherein said compound is 4-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-2[4-(5-ethoxycarbonylamino-1,2,3-thiadiazole-4-carbonyl)-piperazin-1-yl]quinazoline hydrochloride.
