Claims
- 1. A 2-[1′,2′,4′-triazol-3′-yloxymethylene]anilide compound of formula I whereinn is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4, and the substituents R1 are identical or different when n is 2, 3 or 4; R1 is halogen, C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C2-haloalkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy or C1-C2-haloalkoxy; R2 is hydrogen, nitro, cyano, halogen, C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C4-haloalkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy, C1-C4-alkylthio or C1-C4-alkoxycarbonyl; R3 is an optionally substituted pyridyl radical; R4 is hydrogen, C1-C4-alkyl or C1-C2-haloalkyl; R5X is methyl, ethyl, cyclopropyl, methoxy or methylamino.
- 2. The compound of formula I defined in claim 1, wherein R2 is hydrogen, nitro, halogen, C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C4-haloalkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy or C1-C4-alkoxycarbonyl.
- 3. The compound of formula I defined in claim 1, wherein the pyridyl radical is selected from the group consisting of 2-pyridinyl, 3-pyridinyl and 4-pyridinyl.
- 4. The compound of formula I defined in claim 1, wherein the pyridyl radical R3 is unsubstituted or is partly or completely halogenated, or carries, in each case optionally in addition to halogen atoms,(a) from one to three radicals selected from the group consisting of: nitro, cyano, thiocyanato, C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C4-haloalkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy, C1-C4-haloalkoxy, C1-C4-alkylthio, C1-C4-alkylamino, di-C1-C4-alkylamino, C1-C6-alkylcarbonyl, C1-C6-alkoxycarbonyl, C1-C6-alkylaminocarbonyl, di-C1-C6-alkylaminocarbonyl, C1-C6-alkylcarboxyl, C1-C6-alkylcarbonylamino, C3-C7-cycloalkyl, C3-C7-Cycloalkoxy, C3-C7-cycloalkylthio and C3-C7-cycloalkylamino, or (b) an oxy-C1-C2-alkylidenoxy chain which is optionally substituted by fluorine, and optionally a radical selected from the group consisting of: nitro, cyano, thiocyanato, C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C4-haloalkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy, C1-C4-haloalkoxy, C1-C4-alkylthio, C1-C4-alkylamino, di-C1-C4-alkylamino, C1-C6-alkylcarbonyl, C1-C6-alkoxycarbonyl, C1-C6-alkylaminocarbonyl, di-C1-C6-alkylaminocarbonyl, C1-C6-alkylcarboxyl, C1-C6-alkylcarbonylamino, C3-C7-cycloalkyl, C3-C7-cycloalkoxy, C3-C7-cycloalkylthio and C3-C7-cycloalkylamino, or (c) a radical —CR′═NOR″, wherein R′ is hydrogen, cyano, C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C4-haloalkyl, C2-C6-alkenyl, C2-C6-haloalkenyl, C2-C6-alkynyl, C2-C6-haloalkynyl or C3-C8-cycloalkyl; and R″ is C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C4-haloalkyl, C2-C6-alkenyl, C2-C6-haloalkenyl, C2-C6-alkynyl, C2-C6-haloalkynyl or C3-C8-cycloalkyl; and optionally one or two radicals selected from the group consisting of: nitro, cyano, thiocyanato, C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C4-haloalkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy, C1-C4-haloalkoxy, C1-C4-alkylthio, C1-C4-alkylamino, di-C1-C4-alkylamino, C1-C6-alkylcarbonyl, C1-C6-alkoxycarbonyl, C1-C6-alkylaminocarbonyl, di-C1-C6-alkylaminocarbonyl, C1-C6-alkylcarboxyl, C1-C6-alkylcarbonylamino, C3-C7-cycloalkyl, C3-C7-cycloalkoxy, C3-C7-cycloalkylthio and C3-C7-cycloalkylamino.
- 5. The compound of formula I defined in claim 1, wherein R3 is pyridyl which is unsubstituted or partly or completely halogenated, or which carries, optionally in addition to halogen atoms, one to three substituents selected from the group consisting of: cyano, nitro, C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C2-haloalkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy, C1-C2-haloalkoxy, C3-C6-cycloalkyl, C1-C4-alkylcarbonyl and C1-C4-alkoxycarbonyl.
- 6. The compound of formula I defined in claim 1, wherein n denotes 0 or 1.
- 7. A composition for controlling pests selected from the group of insects, arachnids, nematodes and harmful fungi, comprising a solid or liquid carrier and an effective amount of the compound of formula I defined in claim 1.
- 8. A method of controlling pests selected from the group of insects, arachnids, nematodes and harmful fungi, which comprises treating said pests or materials, plants, soil or seed to be protected from said pests with an effective amount of the compound of formula I defined in claim 1.
