Claims
- 1. 23,23-difluoro-1,25-dihydroxy-vitamin D.sub.3.
- 2. The compound of claim 1 in crystalline form.
- 3. A method for preparing 23,23-difluoro-1,25-dihydroxy-vitamin D.sub.3 which comprises subjecting 23,23-difluoro-25-hydroxy-vitamin D.sub.3 to in vitro enzymatic hydroxylation at carbon 1 in the molecule by incubating said 23,23-difluoro-25-hydroxy-vitamin D.sub.3 with a homogenate prepared from kidney tissue of vitamin D-deficient chickens.
