Claims
- 1. 23,23-difluoro-25-hydroxycholecalciferol.
- 2. The compound of claim 1 in crystalline form.
- 3. Compounds having the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1 is selected from acyl and tetrahydro-pyranyl
- X is halogen or hydroxy and
- R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are selected from COOR.sub.4, CH.sub.2 OH and hydrogen where R.sub.4 is lower alkyl.
- 4. The compound according to claim 3 wherein R.sub.1 is acetyl and R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are COOC.sub.2 H.sub.5.
- 5. The compound according to claim 3 where R.sub.1 is acetyl, X is chlorine and R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are COOC.sub.2 H.sub.5.
- 6. The compound according to claim 3 where R.sub.1 is acetyl, X is hydroxy and R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are hydrogen.
- 7. 23,23-difluoro-cholesta-5,7-diene-3,25-diol.
