Claims
- 1. A compound of formula II
- T--CH.sub.2 --CH.dbd.CH--CH.sub.2 --N(E.sub.1)(E.sub.2) (II)
- wherein
- E.sub.1 and E.sub.2 are independently (a) alkyl of 1 to 30 carbon atoms, said alkyl terminated with cycloalkyl of 5 to 12 carbon atoms, said alkyl terminated with --CN, --OR.sub.16, --NR.sub.17 R.sub.18, --SR.sub.19, --COOR.sub.20 or --CONR.sub.21 R.sub.22, where R.sub.16, R.sub.17, R.sub.18, R.sub.19 and R.sub.20 are independently alkyl of 1 to 20 carbon atoms or alkenyl of 3 to 18 carbon atoms, and R.sub.21 and R.sub.22 are independently hydrogen or the same meaning as R.sub.16 ; (b) alkyl of 1 to 30 carbon atoms interrupted by one or two --O--, --S--, --SO--, --SO.sub.2 --, --CO--, --COO--, --OCO--, --CONR.sub.23 --, --NR.sub.23 CO-- or --NR.sub.24 -- where R.sub.23 and R.sub.24 have the same meaning as R.sub.21 ; (c) alkenyl of 3 to 20 carbon atoms; (d) aralkyl of 7 to 15 carbon atoms or said aralkyl substituted on the carbocyclic ring by one to three groups selected from alkyl of 1 to 12 carbon atoms, --CN, --NO.sub.2, halogen, --OR.sub.16, --NR.sub.17 R.sub.18, --SR.sub.19, --COOR.sub.20 or --CONR.sub.21 R.sub.22, or (e) aryl of 6 to 10 carbon atoms or said aryl substituted by one to three substituents selected from the group consisting of alkyl of 1 to 20 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl of 5 to 12 carbon atoms and aralkyl of 7 to 15 carbon atoms;
- T is a group of formula III, IV, V or VI ##STR2## where Ar.sub.1 and Ar.sub.2 are independently carbocylic aryl of 6 to 10 carbon atoms; or said aryl substituted by one to three substituents selected from the group consisting of alkyl of 1 to 20 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl of 5 to 12 carbon atoms, phenylalkyl of 7 to 15 carbon atoms, --COOG.sub.1 where G.sub.1 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 20 carbon atoms, --COG.sub.2 where G.sub.2 is alkyl of 1 to 20 carbon atoms, --NR.sub.5 R.sub.6 where R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are independently hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 20 carbon atoms, --SG.sub.3 where G.sub.3 is carbocylic aryl of 6 to 10 carbon atoms or alkyl of 1 to 20 carbon atoms, --OH, --OCH.sub.3, --CN, --CF.sub.3, --NO.sub.2, --F, --Cl, --Br or -- I;
- R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are independently hydrogen, a linear or branched alkyl of 1 to 30 carbon atoms; said alkyl terminated with --OR.sub.7, --NR.sub.8 R.sub.9, --SR.sub.10, --COOR.sub.11 or --CONR.sub.12 R.sub.13, where R.sub.7, R.sub.8, R.sub.9, R.sub.10 and R.sub.11 are independently hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 20 carbon atoms or alkenyl of 3 to 18 carbon atoms, and R.sub.12 and R.sub.13 are independently hydrogen or the same meaning as R.sub.11 ; or said alkyl interrupted by one or two --O--, --S--, --SO--, --SO.sub.2 --, --CO--, --COO--, --OCO--, --CONR.sub.14 --, --NR.sub.14 CO-- or --NR.sub.15 -- where R.sub.14 and R.sub.15 have the same meaning as R.sub.12 ; alkenyl of 3 to 20 carbon atoms; or carbocylic aryl of 6 to 10 carbon atoms;
- L.sub.1 is hydrogen, --OR.sub.25 where R.sub.25 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 30 carbon atoms, --NR.sub.26 R.sub.27, --OCOR.sub.28, --NCOR.sub.29 where R.sub.26, R.sub.27, R.sub.28 and R.sub.29 have the same meaning as R.sub.25 ;
- L.sub.2 and L.sub.3 are independently --Y.sub.1 --R.sub.30 or --Z.sub.1 --R.sub.31 where Y.sub.1 and Z.sub.1 are independently --O--, --S-- or --NR.sub.26 --, and R.sub.30 and R.sub.31 are hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 30 carbon atoms; and
- n is 0 or 1, Y.sub.2 and Z.sub.2 are independently --O--, --S-- or --NR.sub.26 --, and R.sub.32, R.sub.33, R.sub.34, R.sub.35, R.sub.36 and R.sub.37 are independently hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 30 carbon atoms.
- 2. A compound according to claim 1 wherein Ar.sub.1 and Ar.sub.2 are phenyl.
- 3. A compound according to claim 1 wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are independently hydrogen or methyl.
- 4. A compound according to claim 3 wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each hydrogen.
- 5. A compound according to claim 1 wherein E.sub.1 and E.sub.2 are each benzyl.
- 6. A compound according to claim 1 wherein T is a structure of formula III where L.sub.1 is hydrogen.
- 7. The compound according to claim 1 which is 1-(2,6-diphenylpiperidin-1-yl)-4-dibenzylamino-2-butene.
