Claims
- 1. An optically active compound of the formula ##STR49## wherein --OR.sub.1 forms a conventional hydrolyzable ether protecting group convertible to hydroxy by hydrolysis and --OR.sub.2 forms hydroxy or hydroxy protected by a conventional ester group convertible to hydroxy by hydrolysis
- or its optically active antipode.
- 2. The compound of claim 1 wherein said compound is 5R-(3-oxo-1E-octenyl)-4R-(2-trityloxyethyl)-cyclopentane-1R,3S-diol.
