Claims
- 1. A process for attracting Pharaoh's ants, Monomorium Pharaonis L, which comprises applying the compound 5-methyl-3-n-butyl-octahydroindolizine to a location frequented by the ants in an amount effective to attract the ants.
- 2. The process according to claim 1 wherein the compound is applied in an amount of 10.sup.-11 grams to 10.sup.-5 grams per location measuring 4 cm.sup.2.
- 3. The process according to claim 2 wherein the compound is applied in an amount of 2.5 .times. 10.sup.-7 grams to 3 .times. 10.sup.-6 grams per location measuring 4 cm.sup.2.
- 4. The process according to claim 1 wherein the compound is applied to form a trail in an amount of 0.2 .times. 10.sup.-11 grams/cm to 0.2 .times. 10.sup.-8 grams/cm.
