Claims
- 1. An estratriene intermediate compound of the formula: ##STR5## in which X is halogen, --NHMe, OH or a protected hydroxy group,
- the A ring is ##STR6## R.sup.3 is a hydrogen atom or --OR.sup.3 is a protected hydroxy group, R.sup.14, R.sup.15.alpha., R.sup.15.beta., R.sup.16.alpha. and R.sup.16.beta. each are a hydrogen atom or
- R.sup.14 and R.sup.15.alpha. are an additional bond or a methylene bridge, or
- R.sup.15.beta. is a methyl group and R.sup.15.alpha. is a hydrogen atom, or
- R.sup.15.alpha. and R.sup.15.beta. in each case are a methyl group, or
- R.sup.15.beta. and R.sup.16.beta. together are a methylene bridge, or
- R.sup.16.alpha. or R.sup.16.beta. is a halogen atom or
- R.sup.16.alpha. and R.sup.16.beta. together are a methylidene group
- and the others of substituents R.sup.14, R.sup.15.alpha., R.sup.15.beta., R.sup.16.alpha. and R.sup.16.beta. are each a hydrogen atom,
- R.sup.17' in .alpha.- or .beta.-position is a hydrogen atom,
- R.sup.17" is a hydrogen atom or a radical of partial formula R.sup.17" --C(O)--, in which R.sup.17" is a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon radical with up to 8 carbon atoms, or
- R.sup.17' and OR.sup.17" together are .dbd.O,
- as well as their physiologically compatible addition salts with organic and inorganic acids.
- 2. A compound according to claim 1, in which the A ring is ##STR7## and R.sup.17' and OR.sup.17" together are .dbd.O.
- 3. A compound according to claim 1, in which X is OH or a protected hydroxy group.
- 4. A compound according to claim 2, in which X is OH or a protected hydroxy group.
- 5. A compound according to claim 1, wherein the protected hydroxy groups are ester or ether groups.
- 6. A compound according to claim 2, in which X is ##STR8##
- 7. A compound according to claim 6, in which R.sup.14, R.sup.15.alpha., R.sup.15.beta., R.sup.16.alpha. and R.sup.16.sup.16.beta. are all hydrogen.
- 8. A compound according to claim 1, in which R.sup.17' and OR.sup.17" together are .dbd.O, the A ring is where R.sup.3 is tetrahydropyranyl and X is a toluenesulfonyl protected hydroxy group.
- 9. A compound according to claim 1, in which R.sup.17' and R.sup.17" together are .dbd.O, the A ring is ##STR9## where R.sup.3 is hydrogen and X is halogen.
- 10. A compound according to claim 1, in which R.sup.17' and R.sup.17" together are .dbd.O, the A ring is ##STR10## where R.sup.3 is hydrogen and X is --NHMe.
- 11. A compound according to claim 1, which is:
- 11.beta.-Fluoro-7.alpha.-(5-hydroxypentyl)-estr-4-ene-3,17-dione
- 7.alpha.-(5-Acetoxypentyl)-11.beta.-fluoro-estr-4-ene-3,17-dione
- 7.alpha.-(5-Chloropentyl)-11.beta.-fluoro-3-hydroxy-estra-1,3,5(10)-trien-17-one
- 11.beta.-Fluoro-3-hydroxy-7.alpha.-(5-iodopentyl)-estra-1,3,5(10)-trien-17-one.
