Most of the rest of the baby protrudes below the circles. The bottoms of the circles are blocked by the baby's chest. The background also has a horizontal band which protrudes from both sides of the baby's head and a vertical band which protrudes from the top of the baby's head. The bands are within the concentric circles and would form a cross but they do not intersect because the baby's head blocks that.
