Propane is a gas that is often used as fuel for engines, barbecue grills and portable stoves. The tank that propane is transported in can be an eyesore and difficult to hide when decorating and can be in the form of a variety of different sized above-ground tanks.
The present invention generally relates to a tank cover. More specifically, the invention is an above-ground tank cover.
It is an object of the invention to provide an above-ground tank cover that relatively quickly and efficiently covers a variety of different size and different types of above-ground tanks.
It is an object of the invention to provide an above-ground tank cover that is provided with a hook and loop fastener to facilitate access and custom fit the above-ground tank cover.
It is an object of the invention to provide an above-ground tank cover that provides a plurality of decorative designs to aesthetically improve the appearance of an above-ground tank.
What is needed is an above-ground tank cover that relatively quickly and efficiently covers a variety of different size and different types of above-ground tanks that is provided with a hook and loop fastener to facilitate access and custom fit the above-ground tank cover that provides a plurality of decorative designs to aesthetically improve the appearance of an above-ground tank.
The present invention will be described by way of exemplary embodiments, but not limitations, illustrated in the accompanying drawings in which like references denote similar elements, and in which:
Various aspects of the illustrative embodiments will be described using terms commonly employed by those skilled in the art to convey the substance of their work to others skilled in the art. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced with only some of the described aspects. For purposes of explanation, specific numbers, materials and configurations are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the illustrative embodiments. However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known features are omitted or simplified in order not to obscure the illustrative embodiments.
Various operations will be described as multiple discrete operations, in turn, in a manner that is most helpful in understanding the present invention. However, the order of description should not be construed as to imply that these operations are necessarily order dependent. In particular, these operations need not be performed in the order of presentation.
The phrase “in one embodiment” is utilized repeatedly. The phrase generally does not refer to the same embodiment, however, it may. The terms “comprising”, “having” and “including” are synonymous, unless the context dictates otherwise.
The above-ground tank cover 100 includes a base cover 110 and a pair of draw strings 120. The base cover 110 has a top portion 112 and a bottom portion 114 that is enclosed around an above-ground tank T that can be a compressed gas tank CGT, a fuel tank FT or any other suitable type of above-ground tank such as a propane gas tank PGT. The base cover 110 comes in a variety of sizes such as small, medium, large, extra-large or other suitable sizes. The base cover 110 can have a plurality of aesthetic prints such as camouflage, animal, landscape, geometric and other suitable print styles. The base cover 110 is made of canvas tarp, plastic tarp, plastic or other suitable material. The pair of draw strings 120 includes a pair of tabs 122 disposed on each end 124 of the pair of draw strings 120. The pair of tabs 122 facilitates pulling the pair of draw strings 120. The pair of draw strings 120 is positioned around the bottom portion 114 of the base cover 110 and can be pulled to tighten the pair of draw strings 120 around the bottom portion 114 of the base cover 110.
The above-ground tank cover 100 additionally includes a plurality of reinforced stitching 130 and a hook and loop fastener 140. The reinforced stitching 130 is disposed on the top portion 112 of the base cover 110 and provide relative strength and durability to the above-ground tank cover 100. The hook and loop fastener 140 is disposed on a middle portion 113 of the top portion 112 of the base cover 110 and can be replaceably removed to allow relatively easy access to the above-ground tank AGT enclosed by the above-ground tank cover 100. Typically the hook and loop fastener 140 allows access to a hose assembly HA on an above-ground tank valve AGTV but can provide access to any suitable component of the above-ground tank AGT.
The above-ground tank cover is a product used to camouflage an above-ground tank. Made of tarp or plastic materials, the above-ground tank cover has a drawstring at its bottom to relatively quickly and easily enclose an above-ground storage tank. A plurality of hook and loop fasteners are disposed on top of the above-ground tank cover to provide access to a hose assembly on an above-ground tank valve. The above-ground tank cover may be readily available in small, medium, large and extra-large sizes to accommodate a variety of different sized above-ground tanks. The above-ground tank cover features a decorative tarp or plastic material used to cover the above-ground tank of a fuel source. The above-ground tank cover is designed to be emblazoned with a variety of prints, including animal, landscape and geometric style prints.
While the present invention has been related in terms of the foregoing embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described. The present invention can be practiced with modification and alteration within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Thus, the description is to be regarded as illustrative instead of restrictive on the present invention.
