Claims
- 1. A woven fabric comprising abraded surface fibers and exhibiting a ratio of warp tensile strength to fill tensile strength of at most 1.1.
- 2. The woven fabric of claim 1 wherein said ratio is at most 1.06.
- 3. The woven fabric of claim 1 wherein said surface fibers are comprised of a blend of polyester and cotton fibers.
- 4. The woven fabric of claim 3 wherein said blend of fibers is about 65% polyester and 35% cotton.
- 5. The woven fabric of claim 1 wherein said fabric is warp-faced.
- 6. The woven fabric of claim 5 wherein said warp-faced fabric is a twill.
- 7. An woven fabric having a face and a back, comprising abraded surface yarns in at least one of said face or back, wherein said woven fabric exhibits a ratio of warp tensile strength to fill tensile strength of less than about 1.10.
- 8. The woven fabric of claim 7 wherein said ratio is at most 1.06.
- 9. The woven fabric of claim 7 wherein said surface fibers are comprised of a blend of polyester and cotton fibers.
- 10. The woven fabric of claim 9 wherein said blend of fibers is about 65% polyester and 35% cotton.
- 11. The woven fabric of claim 7 wherein said fabric is warp-faced.
- 12. The woven fabric of claim 11 wherein said warp-faced fabric is a twill.
- 13. A low-pill woven fabric comprising abraded surface fibers and exhibiting a ratio of warp tensile strength to fill tensile strength of at most 1.1.
- 14. The woven fabric of claim 13 wherein said ratio is at most 1.06.
- 15. The woven fabric of claim 13 wherein said surface fibers are comprised of a blend of polyester and cotton fibers.
- 16. The woven fabric of claim 15 wherein said blend of fibers is about 65% polyester and 35% cotton.
- 17. The woven fabric of claim 13 wherein said fabric is warp-faced.
- 18. The woven fabric of claim 17 wherein said warp-faced fabric is a twill.
