Claims
- 1. In an absorption cool-warm water machine having an absorption solution system including a vaporizer, an absorber, a condenser, a high temperature regulator having a combustion burner supplied by a high quality fuel system, a heat exchanger having an exhaust heat by-pass line for selectively charging exhaust heat from an external source to said heat exchanger, and a pump for circulating absorption solution through said system, a method for controlling operation of said heat exchanger in said absorption solution system comprising the steps of:
- providing means for monitoring operation of said solution pump,
- detecting a signal from said monitoring means indicating an interruption in operation of said solution pump,
- determining whether a predetermined period of time passes after detection of said signal, and
- by-passing exhaust heat fluid around said heat exchanger when said period of time exceeds said predetermined period.
- providing means for monitoring operation of said combustion burner,
- detecting a signal from said monitoring means indicating an interruption in operation of said combustion burner,
- determining whether a predetermined period of time passes after detection of said signal, and
- by-passing exhaust heat fluid around said heat exchanger when said period of time exceeds said predetermined period.
- 3. An absorption cool-warm water machine having an absorption solution system including a vaporizer, an absorber, a condenser, a high temperature regulator having a combustion burner supplied with high quality fuel, a heat exchanger supplied with exhaust heat fluid flowing in tubing of an exhaust heat utility, and a pump for circulating absorption solution through said system, said absorption cool-warm water machine further comprising:

- an operation interruption detection means for monitoring operation of said solution pump,
- a timer supervision means for determining whether a predetermined time elapses following interruption of the operation of the solution pump, and
- a control means for generating a control signal to said branching means operative to bypass said exhaust heat fluid around said heat-exchanger when an output signal is transmitted to said control means from said operation interruption detection means and said timer supervision means.
- branching means connected in said tubing of said exhaust-heat utility,
- an operation interruption detection means for monitoring operation of said combustion burner,
- a timer supervision means for determining whether a predetermined time elapses following interruption of the operation of the combustion burner, and
- a control means for generating a control signal to said branching means operative to bypass said exhaust heat fluid around said heat-exchanger when an output signal is transmitted to said control means from said operation interruption detection means and said timer supervision means.
- 5. The method for controlling the absorption cool-warm water machine according to either one of claim 1 or claim 2 further comprising the steps of:
- monitoring temperature of said exhaust-heat fluid; and
- determining the amount of the exhaust-heat fluid to be bypassed around said heat exchanger in correspondence with said monitored temperature.
- 6. The method for controlling the absorption cool-warm water machine according to either one of claim 1 or claim 2 further comprising the steps of:
