Claims
- 1. A biologically pure culture of the microorganism Actinomadura hibisca ATCC 54815 which is capable of producing an antibiotic of the formula ##STR7## where R.sup.1 is H or methyl, upon cultivation in an aqueous medium containing an assimilable source of carbon, nitrogen and D-serine.
- 2. A biologically pure culture of the microorganism Actinomadura hibisca ATCC 53816 which is capable of producing an antibiotic of the formula ##STR8## where R.sup.1 is H or methyl, upon cultivation in an aqueous medium containing an assimilable source of carbon, nitrogen and D-serine.
