Claims
- 1. A spread spectrum detection apparatus comprising:a correlator having a plurality of stages coupled to receive an incoming signal which incoming signal has a plurality of sample bits, the correlator providing an output signal for detecting data bits; and a shift register having a plurality of stages, coupled to receive the incoming signal and coupled to provide an adaptive pattern to the correlator, the adaptive pattern based, at least in part, on the incoming signal using sample bits from more than a single data bit period, such that the adaptive pattern is correlated with the incoming signal within the correlator.
- 2. The apparatus defined by claim 1, including a plurality of the shift registers for providing the adaptive pattern.
- 3. A spread spectrum detection apparatus comprising:a correlator having a plurality of stages coupled to receive an incoming signal, which incoming signal has a plurality of sample bits, the correlator providing an output signal for detecting data bits; and shift registers each having a plurality of stages, coupled to receive the incoming signal and coupled to provide an adaptive pattern to the correlator, the adaptive pattern based, at least in part, on the incoming signal using sample bits from more than a single data bit period such that the adaptive pattern is correlated with the incoming signal within the correlator.
