Claims
- 1. An adaptor for operation of a high intensity arc discharge lamp comprising: a first and second wire for connecting the adaptor to an AC power source; the combination of a first resistor in series with a first capacitor, electrically connected between the first and second wires; a series circuit of an inductor, a second resistor and a second capacitor, electrically connected in parallel with said combination; a trigger winding on the inductor, one end of which is connected to a point between said first resistor and said first capacitor, the other end of which is connected to one end of a triac, the other end of the triac being connected to said second wire; the gate of the triac being connected to one side of a diac, the other side of the diac being connected to a point between said second resistor and said second capacitor.
- 2. The adaptor of claim 1 including means for connecting a high intensity arc discharge lamp in parallel with said second resistor and said second capacitor.
