Claims
- 1. A vinyl addition homopolymer of a monomer having the formula ##STR15## wherein n and m are, individually, 0 or 1, X is an anion, R.sup.1 is hydrogen, methyl or phenyl and R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are, individually, hydrogen, alkyl (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4), aryl (C.sub.6 -C.sub.10), aralkyl (C.sub.7 -C.sub.11) or alkaryl (C.sub.7 -C.sub.11), being colorless and free of non-amidine imino carboxyl, ester and amide groups, unreacted nitrile groups and unreacted polyamine.
- 2. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein m is 0.
- 3. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein m is 1.
- 4. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein n and m are each 0, and R', R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are each hydrogen.
- 5. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein n is 0, m is 1, and R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are each hydrogen.
- 6. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein n and m are each 0, R.sup.1, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are each hydrogen and R.sup.2 is methyl.
- 7. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein n is 0, m is 1, R.sup.1, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are each hydrogen and R.sup.2 is methyl.
- 8. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein n is 1, m is 0 and R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are each hydrogen.
- 9. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein n is 1, m is 0, R.sup.1, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are each hydrogen and R.sup.2 is methyl.
- 10. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein n and m are each 1, R.sup.1, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are each hydrogen and R.sup.2 is methyl.
- 11. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein X is sulfate.
- 12. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein X is chloride.
