Claims
- 1. A composition of matter comprising a divalent or polyvalent salt or complex of a compound selected from the group consisting of compounds that are condensation reaction products of 2-haloalkanoic acids with aniline, ring-substituted derivatives and analogues of aniline, or amino acids, wherein the salt does not undergo adverse interactions or form totally insoluble reaction products and wherein the salt or complex does not comprise a ferrous or ferric salt or complex of N-phenylglycine.
- 2. A composition of matter comprising a divalent or polyvalent salt or complex of a reaction product of a compound selected from the group consisting of compounds that are condensation reaction products of 2-haloalkanoic acids with aniline, ring-substituted derivatives and analogues of aniline, or amino acids, wherein the salt does not undergo adverse interactions or form totally insoluble reaction products and a compound comprising an alkylating moiety.
- 3. A composition of matter comprising a divalent or polyvalent salt or complex of a reaction product of a compound selected from the group consisting of compounds that are condensation reaction products of 2-haloalkanoic acids with aniline, ring-substituted derivatives and analogues of aniline, or amino acids, wherein the salt does not undergo adverse interactions or form totally insoluble reaction products and a compound comprising a polymerizable group.
- 4. A composition of matter comprising a divalent or polyvalent salt or complex of the adduct of N-phenylglycine and glycidyl methacrylate.
- 5. A composition of matter comprising a divalent or polyvalent salt or complex of the addition reaction product of N(p-tolyl)glycine and glycidyl methacrylate.
- 6. A composition of matter comprising a divalent or polyvalent salt or complex of a compound selected from the group consisting of NTG-GMA, NPG-GMA, NCPG-GMA, NPG-PGE, NPG-CGE, NCG-CGE, NCG-PGE, NPA-GMA, and NTA-GMA, wherein said divalent or polyvalent salts or complexes are selected from the group consisting of di- and polyvalent cations and salts of diamines or polyamines, and wherein said cations are selected from the group consisting of magnesium, calcium, strontium, barium, iron, aluminum, zinc, chromium, manganese, cobalt, copper and molybdenum, wherein each of said divalent and polyvalent salts comprising between 1% and 100% of the composition of matter.
- 7. A composition of matter comprising a divalent or polyvalent salt or complex of a compound selected from the group consisting of compounds that are condensation reaction products of 2-haloalkanoic acids with aniline or ring-substituted derivatives and analogues of aniline, wherein the salt does not undergo adverse interactions or form totally insoluble reaction products.
