Claims
- 1. An ethylenically unsaturated monophosphate represented by the formula:
- 2. The compound of claim 1, wherein the ethylenically unsaturated monophosphate is pentaerythritol triallyl ether monophosphate acid ether.
- 3. The compound of claim 1, wherein the ethylenically unsaturated monophosphate is pentaerythritol trimethyl ether monophosphate acid ether.
- 4. The compound of claim 1, wherein n is an integer from 3 to 5.
- 5. A composition comprising at least one monophosphate according to claim 1 and a 2-hydroxylethyl methacrylate.
- 6. A method of treating a-tooth employing the steps of:
etching a tooth surface; sequentially applying a composition according to claim 5 in multiple layers on the etched tooth surface; and applying a resin overlayer.
- 7. The method of claim 6, wherein a composition according to claim 5 and a resin overlayer are simultaneously applied.
- 8. The method of claim 6, wherein the multiple layers are 3 to 15 layers.
- 9. The compound of claim 1, wherein said compound has an H1 NMR spectrum which shows peaks around 6.2-5.8, 5.6-5.1, 4.5-4.1, 4.0-3.8, 3.6-3.4, 2.2-2.0 1.5-1.2, 1.0-0.8 ppm.
