Claims
- 1. A portable, inflatable foot elevator for elevating a region of a human body comprises:
at least two adjacent prismatoid cavities, which comprises at least one horizontal chamber therein, communicating with each other via one way valve means enabling the sequential inflation or deflation of said at least two adjacent prismatoid cavities when a gaseous fluid is introduced into one at least one of the two adjacent prismatoid cavities via two way valve means coupled to pumping means; surface means on one of the at least two adjacent prismatoid cavities for controlling the position of the members of the lower extremities of the body when situated thereupon, where said surface means determined by structural means within the interior of said at least one horizontal chamber in the prismatoid cavities; anchoring means attached to said portable, inflatable, resilient foot elevator; and vibration means for inputting a vibratory motion into the surface of the foot elevator.
- 2. The foot elevator of claim 1 where the one way valve means is at least one relief valve.
- 3. The foot elevator of claim 1 where surface means has an at least one undulation widthwise and a single undulation lengthwise defining the topology of the surface.
- 4. The foot elevator of claim 1 where the anchoring means comprises magnetic means.
- 5. A variable height, portable, inflatable foot, leg and knee elevator comprising:
Two vertical disposed prismatoid chambers made of polymeric material having valve means therebetween for inflating said vertical disposed prismatoids separately or sequentially by inflating the topmost of said vertical disposed prismatoids to a pressure greater than the cracking pressure of valve means so as to allow fluid communication between said two vertical disposed prismatoid chambers; and, A tilted essentially planar surface on the topmost prismatoid chamber comprising: a vinyl-memory form-vinyl laminate such that said tilted planar surface conforms to the shape of the body parts resting thereupon.
- 6. A foot elevator comprises:
at least two vertically disposed chambers formed with polymeric material where each of said at least two vertically disposed chambers, which are linked by one way valve means, comprises at least two horizontally concatenated prismatoid volumes connected to each other by valve means, with the at least two vertically disposed chambers having externally mounted valves means for inflating or deflating one of said at least two horizontally concatenated prismatoid or sequentially inflating the concatenated prismatoids to selectively achieve different heights and lengths of said foot elevator for use; and, a vibrator for inputting a vibratory motion into the surface of an inflated foot elevator.
- 7. The foot elevator of claim one where vibration means is an electric motor with an unbalanced load on its shaft such that it creates different vibrational modes in the surface of said foot elevator.
