FIG. 1 illustrates side angled perspective view of a skateboard 10, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present general inventive concept.

FIG. 2 illustrates top perspective view of the skateboard 10, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present general inventive concept.

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the skateboard 10 may include a main body 11, a nose 12, a tail 13, a first set of front wheels 14, a second set of rear wheels 15, a nose foot hold 20, and a tail foot hold 30.

The main body 11 may be a skateboard deck, a surfboard deck, a snowboard deck, or any other type of board that a user may ride.

The nose 12 may be disposed at a front portion of the main body 11, and may be angled upward slightly to allow the tail 13 to lift upwards when the nose 12 is stepped on by the user.

The tail 13 may be disposed at a rear portion of the main body 11 opposite the front portion of the main body 11, and may be angled upward slightly to allow the nose 12 to lift upwards when the tail 13 is stepped on by the user.

The first set of front wheels 14 may be attached to a bottom surface of the main body 11 via first trucks 16.

The second set of rear wheels 15 may be attached to the bottom surface of the main body 11 via second trucks 17.

The first set of front wheels 14, the second set of rear wheels 15, the first trucks 16, and the second trucks 17 may be optional when the main body 11 is a skateboard, but may be omitted when the main body 11 is a surfboard deck.

The nose foot hold 20 may be disposed at and/or near the nose 12 of the main body 11, and may include a nose adjustment plate 21 and a nose foot holder 22.

The nose adjustment plate 21 may include a plurality of notches 23 and a plurality of screws 24. The plurality of notches 23 may be disposed around a circumference of a portion of the nose adjustment plate 21 that contacts a top surface of the main body 11.

As such, the plurality of notches 23 may allow the nose foot hold 20 to rotate on the top surface of the main body 11, to adjust based on the user's preference. The plurality of screws 24 may allow the nose adjustment plate 21 to be secured firmly to the top surface of the main body 11.

The nose foot holder 22 may be disposed at a top portion of the nose adjustment plate 21, such that a front foot of the user may be inserted between the nose foot holder 22 and the nose adjustment plate 21 to facilitate the user's attempts to ollie (i.e., jump with the skateboard 10).

The nose foot holder 22 may be constructed from injection-molded plastic, rubber, metal, wood, but is not limited thereto.

The nose adjustment plate 21 may include a plurality of nose foot holder adjustment holes 24 and a nose foot holder stabilizing groove 25. The plurality of nose foot holder adjustment holes 24 may be utilized to allow the nose foot holder 22 to be angled according to the user's preferences. The nose foot holder stabilizing groove 25 may be disposed vertically on a back portion of the nose adjustment plate 21 to ensure that the nose foot holder 22 remains firmly attached to the nose adjustment plate 21. The plurality of nose foot holder adjustment holes 24 may be disposed on the nose adjustment plate 21 with respect to left and right sides of the nose foot holder stabilizing groove 25.

As such, the nose adjustment plate 21 may have a first portion to attach to a top surface of the main body 11, and the nose foot holder 22 may be attached to a second portion of the nose adjustment plate 21 that is perpendicular to the first portion of the nose adjustment plate 21.

The nose foot hold 20 may be smaller than the tail foot hold 30, or may be a same size as the tail foot hold 30.

FIG. 3A illustrates an angled perspective view of a tail foot hold 30, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present general inventive concept.

FIG. 3B illustrates a rear perspective view of the tail foot hold 30, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present general inventive concept.

FIG. 3C illustrates a rear perspective view of a tail adjustment plate 31, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present general inventive concept.

Referring to FIGS. 1 through 3C, the tail foot hold 30 may be disposed at and/or near the tail 13 of the main body 11, and may include a tail adjustment plate 31 and a tail foot holder 32.

The tail adjustment plate 31 may include a plurality of notches 33 and a plurality of screws 34. The plurality of notches 33 may be disposed around a circumference of a portion of the tail adjustment plate 31 that contacts the top surface of the main body 11.

As such, the plurality of notches 33 may allow the tail foot hold 30 to rotate on the top surface of the main body 11, to adjust based on the user's preference. The plurality of screws 34 may allow the tail adjustment plate 31 to be secured firmly to the top surface of the main body 11.

The tail foot holder 32 may be disposed at a top portion of the tail adjustment plate 31, such that a rear foot of the user may be inserted between the tail foot holder 32 and the tail adjustment plate 31 to facilitate the user's attempts to ollie (i.e., jump with the skateboard 10).

The tail foot holder 32 may be constructed from injection-molded plastic, rubber, metal, wood, but is not limited thereto.

The tail adjustment plate 31 may include a plurality of tail foot holder adjustment holes 34 and a tail foot holder stabilizing groove 35. The plurality of tail foot holder adjustment holes 34 may be utilized to allow the tail foot holder 32 to be angled according to the user's preferences. The tail foot holder stabilizing groove 35 may be disposed vertically on a back portion of the tail adjustment plate 31 to ensure that the tail foot holder 32 remains firmly attached to the tail adjustment plate 31. The plurality of tail foot holder adjustment holes 34 may be disposed on the tail adjustment plate 31 with respect to left and right sides of the tail foot holder stabilizing groove 35.

Referring to FIG. 3B, the tail foot holder 32 may be attached to the tail adjustment plate 31 using a first pin 36 that is insertable into one of the plurality of tail foot holder adjustment holes 34 to the left of the tail foot holder stabilizing groove 35, and a second pin 38 that is insertable into another one of the plurality of tail foot holder adjustment holes 34 to the right of the tail foot holder stabilizing groove 35.

A stabilizing pin 38 may be inserted into the tail foot holder stabilizing groove 35 to ensure that the tail foot holder 32 is firmly attached to the tail adjustment plate 31.

As such, the tail adjustment plate 31 may have a first portion to attach to the top surface of the main body 11, and the tail foot holder 32 may be attached to a second portion of the tail adjustment plate 31 perpendicular to the first portion of the tail adjustment plate 31.

The nose foot holder 22 may be similarly attached to the nose adjustment plate 21 using same or similar components.

Although a few embodiments of the present general inventive concept have been shown and described, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the general inventive concept, the scope of which is defined in the appended claims and their equivalents.
