Claims
- 1. An adjustable support assembly for positioning and supporting a flat monitor under a transparent portion in a working platform of a work station comprising:
- (a) a shelf subassembly for supporting a flat monitor means comprising in combination:
- (1) a generally rectangular, flattened shelf member having a front edge region, a rear edge region, and opposed lateral side regions, and
- (2) a pair of generally U-configured frame members, each one being substantially vertically oriented, disposed in spaced, parallel relationship relative to the other, and each one having opposite ends, each respective opposite end being fastened to a different one respective lateral side region of said shelf member, so that said frame members extend generally downwardly from said shelf member with each one of said frame members extending from a different one of said lateral side regions;
- (b) a pair of side supports, each one being substantially vertically oriented, disposed in spaced, parallel relationship relative to the other thereof, and located adjacent to a different respective one of said U-configured frame members, each one of said side supports having:
- (1) a pair of transversely spaced vertically extending leg members, and
- (2) a plurality of vertically spaced, transversely extending load bearing members, each member including fastening means mounting each of its opposite end portions to a different one of said leg members; and
- (c) means for adjustably connecting each individual one of said U-configured frame members selectively to the adjacent respective one of said side supports so that each one of said U-configured frame members is connected to at least one of said load bearing members of each said side support;
- whereby said shelf member is vertically positionable, transversely translatable and tiltably adjustable relative to said side supports.
- 2. The adjustable support assembly of claim 1 wherein said shelf member has an upstanding first flange extending along said front edge region and an upstanding second flange extending along said rear edge region.
- 3. The adjustable monitor support assembly of claim 1 wherein:
- the upper end portions of each pair of said leg members are interconnected together by cross member means, and
- a working platform means rests across said cross members means and is mounted thereto by mounting means, said working platform having an incorporated transparent portion through which a flat monitor that is supported by said monitor support assembly is visible.
- 4. The adjustable monitor support assembly of claim 1 wherein:
- the lower end portions of each pair of said leg members are interconnected together by cross member means, and
- each one of said side supports is supported by U-configured leg bracket whose opposite ends are floor engagable and whose base is engaged with said cross member means of a different one of said side supports including engaging means therefor,
- whereby said monitor support assembly is supportable by said leg brackets.
- 5. The adjustable monitor assembly of claim 1 which further includes bracket means for holding said side supports in a fixed relationship relative to said work station.
