Claims
- 1. A wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection comprising:
- a) a body;
- b) at least a first and second wheel rotatably attached to the body;
- c) a mounting arm connected to the body, the mounting arm having a first and second prong piece, the first and second prong piece each having first and second edge cut outs, the first prong piece mounted to the second prong piece;
- d) at least the first wheel having an axle and being rotatably connected to the mounting arm, wherein;
- i) the mounting arm has at least two axle apertures, the first and second edge cut outs on the first and second prong pieces aligning to form the axle apertures; and
- ii) the axle is disposed within one of the axle apertures.
- 2. The wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 1, wherein there are three wheels, two of said wheels are rear wheels.
- 3. The wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 1, wherein the second wheel is a rear wheel.
- 4. The wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 1, wherein:
- a) the axle comprises a first and a second axle end; and
- b) a first and second pedal are operatively connected to the first and second axle ends respectively.
- 5. The wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 1, wherein the mounting arm comprises:
- a) a steering end; and
- b) a prong end having at least two prong arms.
- 6. The wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 5, wherein:
- a) each prong arm comprises a first and second prong piece;
- b) the first prong piece has at least two first edge cut outs; and
- c) the first prong piece is mountably connected to the second prong piece so that the first edge cut outs form the axle apertures.
- 7. The wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 6, wherein:
- a) the second prong piece has at least two second edge cut outs; and
- b) the first prong piece mountably connects to the second prong piece with the first edge cut outs aligned with the second edge cut outs to form the axle apertures.
- 8. The wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 6, wherein the first prong piece is mountably connected to the second prong piece with a screw.
- 9. The wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 1, wherein one axle aperture is located above the other axle aperture.
- 10. The wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 1, wherein:
- a) either the first or second wheel comprises a wave ride wheel having a center and at least two wheel axle apertures, at least one wheel axle aperture not being at the center of the wheel; and
- b) the axle is disposed within one of the wheel axle apertures.
- 11. The wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 1, wherein:
- a) the body comprises a first and second body end, and a back end having at least one prong back end, each prong back end connected to the second body end; and
- b) the second wheel rotatably connects to each prong back end.
- 12. The wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 11, wherein the back end is interchangeable between a bicycle back end and a tricycle back end.
- 13. A method of adjusting the height of a wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection, the method comprising the steps of:
- a) providing a wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection comprising:
- i) a first wheel having an axle;
- ii) a riding toy having a mounting arm, the mounting arm having at least two axle apertures; and
- iii) the axle releasably connected to one of the axle apertures;
- (iv) a second wheel comprising a wave ride wheel having a center, a second axle, and at least two wheel axle apertures, at least one wheel axle aperture not being at the center of the wheel, the second wheel rotatably attached to the riding toy;
- b) moving the axle from one axle aperture to another axle aperture on the mounting arm, and
- c) moving the second axle from one wheel axle aperture to another wheel axle aperture.
- 14. The method of adjusting the height of a wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 13, wherein:
- a) each mounting arm comprises a first and second prong piece;
- b) the first prong piece has at least two first edge cut outs;
- c) the first prong piece is mountably connected to the second prong piece so that the first edge cut outs form the axle apertures; and
- d) The step of moving the axle comprises the steps of:
- i) unmounting the first prong piece;
- ii) moving the axle from one first edge cut out to another first edge cut out;
- and
- iii) mounting the first prong piece to the second prong piece.
- 15. The method of adjusting the height of a wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 14, wherein:
- a) the second prong piece has at least two second edge cut outs;
- b) the first prong piece mountably connects to the second prong piece with the first edge cut outs aligned with the second edge cut outs to form the axle apertures; and
- c) the step of moving the axle from one first edge cut out to another first edge cut out comprises the further step of moving the axle from one second edge cut out to another second edge cut out.
- 16. The method of adjusting the height of a wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 14, wherein:
- a) at least one screw mountably connects the first prong piece to the second prong piece;
- b) the step of unmounting the first prong piece comprises the steps of:
- i) removing the screw; and
- ii) removing the first prong piece from the second prong piece;
- and
- c) the step of mounting the first prong piece to the second prong piece comprises the steps of:
- i) placing the first prong piece adjacent to the second prong piece; and
- ii) placing the screw into the first and second prong pieces.
- 17. A wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection comprising:
- a) a body;
- b) one or more wheels rotatably attached to the body;
- c) a mounting arm connected to the body;
- d) one wheel having an axle, the one wheel being rotatably connected to the mounting arm, wherein;
- i) the mounting arm has at least two axle apertures; and
- ii) the axle is disposed within one of the axle apertures;
- e) the one wheel comprises a wave ride wheel having a center and at least two wheel axle apertures, at least one wheel axle aperture not being at the center of the wheel; and
- f) the axle is disposed within one of the wheel axle apertures.
- 18. A wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection comprising:
- a) a plastic body;
- b) one or more plastic wheels rotatably attached to the body;
- c) a mounting arm for steering connected to the body, the mounting arm having at least one prong arm;
- d) said at least one prong arm comprises a first and second prong piece, both the first and second prong piece having first and second edge cut outs;
- e) one wheel having an axle, the one wheel being rotatably connected to the prong arm, wherein;
- i) the first edge cut outs align with the second edge cut outs to form a first and second axle aperture, the first axle aperture disposed above the second axle aperture; and
- ii) the axle is disposed within one of the axle apertures.
- 19. The plastic wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 18, wherein the first prong piece is mountably connected to the second prong piece with a screw.
- 20. The plastic wheeled riding toy with an adjustable height axle connection of claim 19, wherein the first prong piece has a molded plastic form for holding the screw.
