Claims
- 1. Pipe line-up coneyor apparatus, comprising a body having plural conveyor rollers supported thereby for supporting a length of pipe and for conveying the length of pipe longitudinally, plural generally vertically pivotally disposed and vertically extendable and retractable support means for supporting said body at longitudinally and laterally spaced points thereof and for independently raising and lowering said spaced points of said body, and plural drive means for independently moving the ends of said body transversely in either direction, whereby a length of pipe supported on said conveyor means may be selectively moved to any longitudinal position for welding to a pipeline.
- 2. The combination of claim 1, including plural said pipe line-up conveyor apparatuses spacedly aligned whereby each supports a different portion of the length of pipe.
- 3. The combination of claim 2, including means for supporting said plural pipe line-up conveyor apparatuses at an angle to horizontal along the length of pipe.
- 4. The combination of claim 1, at least one of said conveyor rollers being a driven roller.
- 5. The combination of claim 4, including plural said pipe line-up conveyor apparatuses spacedly aligned whereby each supports a different portion of the length of pipe.
- 6. The combination of claim 5, including means for supporting said plural pipe line-up conveyor apparatuses at an angle to horizontal along the length of pipe.
- 7. The combination of claim 1, each of said plural support means comprising a hydraulic cylinder.
- 8. The combination of claim 7, each of said plural drive means comprising a hydraulic cylinder.
- 9. The combination of claim 1, including plural spin rollers for rotating a length of pipe supported by said line-up conveyor about its axis, and means for elevating said spin rollers into engagement with said length of pipe and for lowering said spin rollers out of engagement with said length of pipe.
- 10. The combination of claim 9, including plural said pipe line-up conveyor apparatuses spacedly aligned whereby each supports a different portion of the length of pipe.
- 11. The combination of claim 10, including means for supporting said plural pipe line-up conveyor apparatuses at an angle to horizontal along the length of pipe.
- 12. The combination of claim 1, at least one of said plural conveyor rollers comprising a belt slat conveyor.
- 13. The combination of claim 12, each said plural support means comprising a hydraulic cylinder, each of said plural drive means comprising a hydraulic cylinder, said apparatus including plural spin rollers for rotating a length of pipe supported by said line-up conveyor apparatus about its axis, and means for elevating said spin rollers into engagement with said length of pipe and for lowering said spin rollers out of engagement with said length of pipe.
- 14. The combination of claim 13, including plural said pipe line-up conveyor apparatuses spacedly aligned whereby each supports a different portion of the length of pipe.
- 15. The combination of claim 14, including means for supporting said plural pipe line-up conveyor apparatuses at an angle to horizontal along the length of pipe.
