1. Field of the Invention
The present invention generally relates to recreational wearing apparel, and particularly to an adjustable swimsuit that provides a swimsuit for women that can be adjusted to assume various fashion styles.
2. Description of the Related Art
Basking in the sun at a beach resort or lounging at poolside while taking a vacation cruise or the like, often entails purchasing an array of swimsuits to accommodate the desire to be fashionably outfitted in a variety of styles. Since fashionable swimsuits are relatively expensive, a large amount of money must be spent on this one purchase. If one's vacation budget is limited, this purchase reduces the amount of funds available for other apparel and/or vacation activities. Furthermore, it may be difficult to fully gauge how a particular swimsuit style may look and fit one's particular body type in the dressing room of a department store. This is especially true if the swimsuit is purchased weeks, if not months, before the vacation date. A few inches gained here or lost there can often greatly alter the appearance and comfort of the swimsuit.
There have been many attempts in the related art to provide a swimsuit that can be adjusted to assume different styles. Unfortunately, these attempts have proved cumbersome and ineffective. The fashion industry would certainly welcome a single swimsuit that could be easily and effectively adjusted to assume different styles as desired. Thus, an adjustable swimsuit solving the aforementioned problems is desired.
The adjustable swimsuit is a two-piece woman's swimsuit comprising a bottom portion and a top or bra portion. The bra portion and the rear of the bottom portion include eyelets along the periphery thereof. The eyelets can take the form of rings, or tabs or like structure and are adapted to receive crisscross lacing threaded therethrough. Tightening or loosening the lacing is effective to alter the contour of the rear bottom and of the bra top, thereby allowing the swimsuit to assume a variety of styles, depending upon the amount of tension applied to the lacing.
Accordingly, the invention presents a swimsuit that can be adjusted easily and efficiently to assume a variety of styles. This scenario allows the wearer to expose more or less buttock and/or cleavage area for tanning or according to reflect the wearer's mood in a different swimsuit style, as desired. The invention provides for improved elements thereof in an arrangement for the purposes described that are inexpensive, dependable and fully effective in accomplishing their intended purposes.
These and other features of the present invention will become readily apparent upon further review of the following specification and drawings.
