The present invention relates generally to the field of air vent covers. More specifically, the present invention relates to an adjustable vent cover device comprised of vertical vent blades that can be simultaneously adjusted. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.
Standard airflow vents, commonly found in both residential and commercial settings, are designed with a specific structure to manage the flow of air within a space efficiently. These vents typically feature a series of adjustable horizontal bars at the back and fixed vertical bars at the front, creating a mechanism through which only horizontal airflow can be directed with precision using the horizontal bars. Central to their design is a single lever, strategically placed for user convenience, that facilitates the adjustment of the back horizontal bars. This lever allows users to manipulate the horizontal airflow direction with ease enabling the air to be directed upwards toward the ceiling, downwards toward the floor, or even to halt the airflow completely by closing the vent.
In addition to the horizontal bars, some airflow vents are equipped with adjustable vertical bars. Unlike the ease provided by the single lever for horizontal adjustments, these vertical bars require manual adjustment each time there is a need to change the airflow's vertical direction. This process can be notably more cumbersome as each vertical bar must be adjusted individually each and every time there is a need to change the airflow's vertical direction, making the task both time-consuming and potentially frustrating for users. This design limitation underscores the importance of case of use and user experience in vent design, highlighting a clear distinction between the simplicity of adjusting horizontal airflow and the comparatively laborious process of altering vertical airflow direction.
Therefore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for an improved air vent cover. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for an adjustable air vent cover device. More specifically, there exists a long-felt need in the art for an adjustable air vent cover device that allows a user to adjust the horizontal vent blades of the device. The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises an adjustable vent cover device. The device is designed for customizable air flow, comprising a body comprised of at least one vertical and/or horizontal vent blade, with each blade capable of independent movement or simultaneous movement through connected sections. Vertical blades are adjustable left and right, while horizontal blades can be moved up and down. Additionally, blades may be held in tracks with rotation points, enabling them to rotate relative to their edges, and facilitating precise adjustment of air direction.
In this manner, the adjustable vent cover device of the present invention accomplishes all the foregoing objectives and provides an improved air vent cover. More specifically, the device provides an air vent cover that allows a user to adjust the horizontal vent blades of the device. In addition, the device also allows a user to simultaneously adjust the vertical blade bars of the device.
