Claims
- 1. A veterinary vaccine composition comprising viral antigen, a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, and added to the antigen, an adjuvant which is at least one member selected from the group consisting of linear ethylene maleic anhydride copolymer and an uncoalesced acrylic copolymer.
- 2. The veterinary vaccine composition of claim 1 wherein the linear ethylene maleic anhydride copolymer has a true density of about 1.54 g/ml, a softening point of about 170.degree. C., a melting point of about 235.degree. C., a decomposition temperature of about 247.degree. C. and a bulk density of about 20 lbs/Ft.sup.3.
- 3. The veterinary vaccine composition of claim 1 wherein the linear ethylene maleic anhydride copolymer has an average molecular weight of about 75,000 to 100,000.
- 4. The veterinary vaccine composition of claim 1 wherein the uncoalesced copolymer has an acid number of about 48.
- 5. The veterinary vaccine composition of claim 1 wherein the uncoalesced polymer when in aqueous suspension and containing about 40% solids by weight has a pH of about 7.5 and a Brookfield viscosity of 100 cps at 25.degree. C.
- 6. The veterinary vaccine composition of claim 1 wherein the acrylic copolymer is an acrylic copolymer with styrene.
- 7. The veterinary vaccine composition of claim 1 wherein the acrylic copolymer is a latex emulsion of a copolymer of styrene with a mixture of acrylic acid and methacylic acid.
- 8. A veterinary vaccine composition comprising viral antigen, a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and, added to the antigen, as adjuvants ethylene maleic anhydride copolymer and an uncoalesced aqueous acrylic copolymer.
- 9. The veterinary vaccine composition of claim 8 wherein the ethylene maleic anhydride is linear ethylene maleic anhydride copolymer.
- 10. The veterinary vaccine composition of claim 8 wherein the ethylene maleic anhydride is linear ethylene maleic anhydride copolymer having a true density of about 1.54 g/ml, a softening point of about 170.degree. C., a melting point of about 235.degree. C., a decomposition temperature of about 247.degree. C. and a bulk density of about 20 lbs/Ft.sup.3.
- 11. The veterinary vaccine composition of claim 8 wherein the ethylene maleic anhydride is linear ethylene maleic anhydride copolymer having an average molecular weight of about 75,000 to 100,000.
- 12. The veterinary vaccine composition of claim 8 wherein the uncoalesced copolymer has an acid number of about 48.
- 13. The veterinary vaccine composition of claim 8 wherein the uncoalesced polymer when in aqueous suspension and containing about 40% solids by weight has a pH of abvout 7.5 and a Brookfield viscosity of 100 cps at 25.degree. C.
- 14. The veterinary vaccine composition of claim 8 wherein the acrylic copolymer is an acrylic copolymer with styrene.
- 15. The veterinary vaccine composition of claim 8 wherein the acrylic copolymer is a latex emulsion of a copolymer of styrene with a mixture of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid.
