Claims
- 1. An improved aerosol dispenser for mixing and dispensing a first and a second fluid products from an aerosol container through a terminal orifice, comprising:
a valve body having a valve body cavity; said valve body being sealably mounted to the aerosol container; a first channel defined in said valve body for providing fluid communication with said valve body cavity; a second channel defined in said valve body for providing fluid communication with said valve body cavity; a first inner container for containing the first fluid located within the aerosol container for communicating only with said first channel; a second inner container for containing the second fluid located within the aerosol container for communicating only with said second channel; a valve assembly comprising a first and a second valve element disposed in said valve body cavity for inhibiting the flow of the first and second fluids from the terminal orifice; and said valve assembly enabling the mixing and dispensing of the first and second fluids from the terminal orifice upon the simultaneous actuation of said first and second valve elements.
- 2. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 1, including a mounting cup for sealably mounting a first end of said valve body to the aerosol container.
- 3. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 1, wherein said first channel is defined in an end of said valve body; and
a second channel being defined in said valve body remote from said first channel.
- 4. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 1, wherein said first and second inner containers comprise first and second flexible inner containers.
- 5. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 1, wherein said first inner container is located within said second inner container.
- 6. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 1, including a mounting cup for sealably mounting a first end of said valve body to the aerosol container;
said first inner container being secured to a second end of said valve body for communicating only with said first channel; and said second inner container being secured to said mounting cup for communicating only with said second channel.
- 7. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 1, including a mounting cup for sealably mounting a first end of said valve body to the aerosol container;
said first inner container being secured to a second end of said valve body for communicating only with said first channel; and said second inner container being secured to said valve body remote from said second end for communicating only with said second channel.
- 8. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 1, wherein said valve assembly comprises a bias spring interposed between said first and second valve elements for simultaneously biasing said first and second valve elements into sealing engagement with said first and second channels, respectively.
- 9. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 1, wherein second valve element is movably mounted relative to said first valve element;
said valve assembly comprises a bias spring interposed between said first and second valve elements for simultaneously biasing said first and second valve elements into sealing engagement with said first and second channels, respectively; and said first and second valve elements enabling the dispensing of the first and second fluids from the terminal orifice upon the tilting of said first and second valve elements.
- 10. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 1, including a constricted fluid passageway for mixing the first and the second fluids.
- 11. An improved aerosol dispenser for mixing and dispensing a first and a second fluid product from an aerosol container through a terminal orifice, comprising:
a valve body extending between a first and a second valve body end with a valve body cavity defined in said first valve body end; a mounting cup for sealably mounting said first end of said valve body to the aerosol container; a first channel defined in said valve body in proximity to said first valve body end for providing fluid communication with said valve body cavity; a second channel defined in said valve body remote from said first valve body end for providing fluid communication with said valve body cavity; a first flexible inner container for containing the first fluid located within the aerosol container and secured to said second end of said valve body for communicating only with said first channel; a second flexible inner container for containing the second fluid located within the aerosol container for communicating only with said second channel; a valve assembly comprising a first and a second valve element disposed in said valve body cavity for inhibiting the flow of the first and second fluids from the terminal orifice; and said valve assembly enabling the mixing and dispensing of the first and second fluids from the terminal orifice upon the tilting of said first and second valve elements.
- 12. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 11, wherein said mounting cup has a turret and a mounting cup rim;
said mounting cup rim sealably mounted to the aerosol container; and said turret sealably mounted to the valve body.
- 13. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 11, wherein said mounting cup has a turret and a mounting cup rim;
said mounting cup rim sealably mounted to the aerosol container; and a sealing gasket sealing said first end of said valve body to said turret of said mounting cup.
- 14. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 1, wherein said first channel is defined in an end of said valve body; and
a second channel being defined in said valve body remote from said first channel.
- 15. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 11, wherein said valve body has a sidewall extending between said first and second ends of said valve body;
said second channel extending through said sidewall of said valve body.
- 16. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 1, wherein said first inner container is located within said second inner container.
- 17. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 1, wherein said valve assembly comprises a bias spring interposed between said first and second valve elements for simultaneously biasing said first and second valve elements into sealing engagement with said first and second channels, respectively.
- 18. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 1, wherein second valve element is movably mounted relative to said first valve element;
said valve assembly comprises a bias spring interposed between said first and second valve elements for simultaneously biasing said first and second valve elements into sealing engagement with said first and second channels, respectively; and said first and second valve elements enabling the dispensing of the first and second fluids from the terminal orifice upon the tilting of said first and second valve elements.
- 19. An improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 1, including a constricted fluid passageway for mixing the first and the second fluids.
- 20. The process of filling an improved aerosol dispenser with a first and a second fluid products and an aerosol propellant, comprising the steps of:
filling a second inner container located within an aerosol container with the second fluid product; filling a first inner container located within the second container with the first fluid product; and filling the aerosol container with the aerosol propellant.
- 21. The process of filling an improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 20, wherein the step of filling the second inner container with the second fluid product includes filling the second inner container through a mounting cup opening in the aerosol container adapted for receiving an aerosol valve mounting cup.
- 22. The process of filling an improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 20, wherein the step of filling the first inner container with the first fluid product includes filling the first inner container through an aerosol valve stem.
- 23. The process of filling an improved aerosol dispenser as set forth in claim 20, wherein the step of filling the aerosol container with the aerosol propellant includes filling the aerosol container through a filling aperture distinct from a mounting cup opening in the aerosol container adapted for receiving an aerosol valve mounting cup.
- 24. The process of filling an improved aerosol dispenser with a first and a second fluid products and an aerosol propellant, comprising the steps of:
inserting a second flexible inner container within an aerosol container through a mounting cup opening in the aerosol container adapted for receiving an aerosol valve and mounting cup assembly; filling the second flexible inner container with the second fluid product through the mounting cup opening in the aerosol container; inserting a first flexible inner container and an aerosol mount cup and valve assembly through the mounting cup opening in the aerosol container; sealing the aerosol mount cup and valve assembly to the mounting cup opening in the aerosol container; filling the first container with the first fluid product through the aerosol mount cup and valve assembly; and filling the aerosol container with the aerosol propellant through a filling aperture distinct from the mounting cup opening in the aerosol container.
