Claims
- 1. A particulate cathode material, comprising particles wherein each said particle comprises an intermediate layer of Ag.sub.2 O disposed between an AgO core and an outer layer comprising silver and bismuth moieties.
- 2. A particulate cathode material as in claim 1, said outer layer comprising AgBiO.sub.3.
- 3. A particulate cathode material as claim 1, said outer layer comprising AgBiO.sub.2.
- 4. An electrochemical cell having an anode, an electrolyte, and a cathode pellet comprising electroactive cathode particles of said particulate cathode material of claim 1 bonded to each other.
- 5. An electrochemical cell as in claim 4 said electrolyte comprising potassium hydroxide.
- 6. A particulate cathode material as in claim 1, wherein the outer layer consists essentially of AgBiO.sub.3.
