Claims
- 1. The processing of spent bleaching earths from agricultural oil refining characterized by extracting oil from spent bleaching earths for animal feed or using earths and acid water as soil amendment/fertilizer.
- 2. A method of obtaining biochemicals including biopharmaceuticals by extracting said biochemicals from plant, animal, and fish oil refining soapstock, especially using the “interphase” emulsion from soapstock acidulation.
- 3. A method of obtaining nutrients comprising using black paste from agricultural oil refining as a fertilizer component.
- 4. An animal feed or feed additive derived from the interphase from agricultural oil refining, especially refining of non-degummed oils.
- 5. Use of “oil refining by-products to fertilizers” process and/or potassium hydroxide (KOH) refining in conjunction with “Miscella”-type hexane refining or “Zenith” process refining of agricultural oils.
- 6. A fertilizer product containing silica/silicates and made from by-products of agricultural oil refining.
- 7. A fertilizer made from by-products of agricultural oil refining using sodium containing caustic for use on sodium tolerant crops.
- 8. Improved sugar beet refining characterized by the extraction and use of nutrients from the refining raffinate.
- 9. Agriculturally useful potassium soaps derived from agricultural oil refining using a potassium caustic.
- 10. Biologically active products derived from the refining of non-degummed agricultural oils.
- 11. The use, as a feed additive, of potassium soapstock from the caustic refining of agricultural oils using a potassium caustic, especially with non-degummed oils, whereby spoilage is reduced.
