Abstract
An air-bed for a vehicle has a front seat on which an air-bed filled with air can be formed after a back of the front seat is reclined rearward, thereby providing a comfortable, easy rest space during a long distance tour or auto camping. An air-bed for a vehicle can be used in the vehicle during a long distance tour or auto camping. The air-bed for the vehicle is designed to provide a full level plane and to thereby provide comfortable rest without muscle pain that may be caused by protruded portions formed by unevenness of front and rear seats.
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to an air-bed for a vehicle, and more particularly, to an air-bed for a vehicle that has a front seat on which an air-bed filled with air can be formed after a back of the front seat is reclined rearward, thereby providing a comfortable, easy rest space during a long distance tour or auto camping.

BACKGROUND ART

Generally, a passenger car comprises a front compartment having a driver seat and a front passenger seat, and a rear compartment having a rear passenger seat. The driver or passengers can rest in a sitting posture in the seats. Particularly, the driver and front passenger seats have seat backs pivotally coupled to seat bases by hinges such that the seat backs can be reclined rearward to provide more comfort to the driver and passenger.

Meanwhile, after long use of the vehicle, the driver usually reclines the seat to a maximum extent to a level close to a horizontal plane when he/she intends to rest.

However, it is difficult for a normal-sized adult to maintain the fully laid-down state due to space and structural limitations of the vehicle. That is, even when the back of the front seat is fully reclined rearward, it cannot make a level plane since the reclining of the back is limited by the seat base of the rear passenger seat.

Accordingly, when the back of the driver or front passenger seat is maximally reclined rearward, the seat cannot provide the full level plane but has a predetermined angle. Therefore, when he/she lies down for hours on the seat having the predetermined angle, his/her weight is concentrated on a part of the body such as the waist or hip. This causes muscle pain, thereby not providing a comfortable rest.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly, the present invention has been made in an effort to solve the above described problems. It is an object of the present invention to provide an air-bed for a vehicle, which can be used in the vehicle during a long distance tour or auto camping, the air-bed for the vehicle being designed to provide a full level plane and to thereby provide comfortable rest without muscle pain that may be caused by protruded portions formed by unevenness of front and rear seats.

To achieve the object, the present invention provides an air-bed for a vehicle, the air-bed being stored in a back of a rear seat of the vehicle and forming a bed in the vehicle in time of need, wherein the back of the rear seat is provided with an air-bed storage case defined by forming a predetermined space on the back with an opening that is closed and opened by an opening/closing member 30; a bed member that forming a bed when air is injected therein has a first end separately coupled on an inner surface of the air-bed storage case 20 and is formed of plurality of layers independently divided from each other so that the air can be independently injected into the layers; a plurality of air injection holes 50 are formed on the layers of the bed member to define air injection passages; a plurality of air discharge holes 60 are formed on the layer of the bed member to define air discharge passages; and an air pump for injecting the air into the bed member.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The above objects, other features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent by describing the preferred embodiments thereof with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:

FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating an air-bed for a vehicle according to the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a side view of an interior of the vehicle illustrating an air-bed for a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 3 is a side view of an interior of a vehicle illustrating an air-bed for a vehicle according to another embodiment of the present invention; and

FIG. 4 is a side view of an interior of a vehicle illustrating a storing-state of an air-bed for the vehicle according to the present invention.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

Preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described hereinafter in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating an air-bed for a vehicle according to the present invention; FIG. 2 is a side view of an interior of the vehicle illustrating an air-bed for a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 3 is a side view of an interior of a vehicle illustrating an air-bed for a vehicle according to another embodiment of the present invention; and FIG. 4 is a side view of an interior of a vehicle illustrating a storing-state of an air-bed for the vehicle according to the present invention.

As shown in the drawings, a back 10 of a rear passenger seat is provided with an air-bed storage case 20 defined by forming a predetermined space on the back 10 with an opening and an opening/closing member 30 pivotally coupled on the air-bed storage case 20 by a hinge to open/close the opening of the air-bed storage case 20.

The air-bed storage case 20 may be provided in a trunk 11 of the vehicle, which is disposed behind the back 10 of the rear passenger seat.

A bed member 40 is coupled on an inner surface of the air-bed storage case 20 to form the bed when it is supplied with air. The bed member 40 is divided into upper and lower layers that can be independently supplied with air.

The bed member 40 is separately fixed on the inner surface of the air-bed storage case 20 by fixing means so that it can be easily replaced with a new one when it is damaged.

The fixing means is preferably formed of a hook or a Velcro-fastener.

That is, the upper layer of the bed member 40 defines a body supporting part 41 and the lower layer defines a level maintaining part 42 that can be flexibly deformed in response to the shape of the seat base and back of the passenger seat and the seat back of the rear passenger seat.

In addition, the body supporting part 41 and the level maintaining part 42 are provided with independent air injection holes 50 through which the air is injected and independent air discharge holes 60 through which the air is discharged.

There is provided an air pump 70 for injecting the air into the body supporting part 41 and the level maintaining part 42. The air pump 70 is designed to operate by electric power supplied from a cigar jack of the vehicle.

In use, the user first maximally reclines rearward the back of the front passenger seat.

Next, the opening/closing member of the rear passenger seat is pivoted to closely contact the seat base of the rear passenger seat, and the bed member stored in the air-bed storage case is spread on the seat base of the rear passenger and the seat base and back of the front seat.

Then, air is fully injected in the body supporting part through the air injection hole using the air pump until the body supporting part is inflated to maintain its flat shape.

Meanwhile, the air is also injected in the level maintaining part. At this point, a relatively small amount of air is injected so that the level maintaining part can be varied in its shape by outer pressure.

That is, the level maintaining part is designed to be varied in the shape in response to the unevenness formed by the seat base of the rear seat and the seat base and back of the front seat so that the body supporting part can maintain the level with the horizontal.

After the user took an enough rest, the air is discharged from the level maintaining part and the body supporting part through the air discharge holes and the bed member is folded and put in the storage case, after which the air-bed storage case is closed by the opening/closing member to easily store the bed member in normal time.

As another embodiment, after the back of the rear seat is maximally folded on the seat base of the rear seat and the back of the front sat is maximally reclined rearward, the opening/closing member of the air-bed storage case provided in the trunk is opened, after which the bed member is spread on the front and rear seats and the air is injected into the bed member using the air pump.

In this embodiment, the bed can be lengthened, providing the more comfortable posture to the user.

Meanwhile, since the bed member is separately fixed on the air-bed storage case, the movement of the bed member can be prevented and the replacement of the bed member can be easily realized when it is damaged.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY

As described above, the air-bed for the vehicle has an advantage in that the user can easily rest without feeling muscle pain by providing a full level with the horizontal plane regardless of the unevenness caused by the seat back and base of the front and rear seats.
