At this time, the end pipes 12c and 12d are positioned in the base depression portions 31 and 32 of the base portion 14. Next, the cover part 15 is fixed. This fixing process includes three steps. The first step is to connect the cover portion 15 to the base portion 14 by the locking mechanism 50. The second step is performed after the first step to tighten the base portion 14 to the base portion by the tightening mechanism 40a. The third step is performed after the first step to tighten the cover portion 15 to the case by the tightening mechanism 40b. The order of the second step and the third step can be interchanged. According to this fixing step, the locking mechanism 50 provides a preliminary temporary fixing. Therefore, a positional deviation of the heat medium passage 12 due to subsequent second and third steps is suppressed. The seat member 20 is formed by the fixing process. Next, the seal member 16 is attached to the seat member 20. Next, the air conditioner 10 is mounted on the vehicle 1 so that the seal member 16 contacts the partition wall portion 4. In this way, the air conditioner 10 is completed.
According to this embodiment, the holder mechanism 30 supports the end pipes 12c and 12d immediately after the seat member 20. Therefore, the end pipes 12c and 12d can be reliably held with respect to the seat member 20 so as to suppress a positional deviation of the end pipes 12c and 12d. The holder mechanism 30 is connected by the tightening mechanism 40a and the locking mechanism 50. Therefore, the holder mechanism 30 can reliably support the end pipes 12c and 12d. The base end portion 21 and the cover end portion 22 which both provide the seat member 20. The base end portion 21 is integrally formed of a continuous resin material continuous to the base block 14b. The cover end portion 22 is integrally formed of a continuous resin material continuous to the cover block 15b. The base block 14b and the cover block 15b which both provide the holder mechanism 30. Therefore, the base end portion 21 and the cover end portion 22, which both provide the seat member 20, are integrally formed of a resin material on the base block 14b and on the cover block 15b respectively. Therefore, both the seat member 20 and the holder mechanism 30 may be formed by the base block 14b and the cover block 15b.
