Claims
- 1. An air conditioner for blowing heat-exchanged air including:
- a case defining a ventilation path;
- a heat exchanger for heat-exchanging air passing through said ventilation path, the width of said heat exchanger being smaller than the width of said ventilation path;
- a pair of end plates provided at either side of said heat exchanger in the width direction so as to sandwich a heat-exchange portion of said heat exchanger therebetween, wherein at least one of said end plates is extended in the width direction of said ventilation path and a tip portion of said extended end plate is fixed to said case;
- wherein said case is provided with a partition plate for partitioning the inside of said case into a ventilation room for blowing air through said case and an electrical-equipment room in which electrical parts are accommodated, the tip portion of said extended end plate being located at the side of said electrical-equipment room.
- 2. The air conditioner as claimed in claim 1, further including a closing member which is disposed between said case and said heat exchange portion so as to be filled in a space of said ventilation path, whereby the width of said heat exchange portion is coincident with the width of said ventilation path.
- 3. The air conditioner as claimed in claim 1, further including a refrigerating device which is disposed at a position confronting to said extended portion in said ventilation path and is connected to said heat exchanger.
- 4. The air conditioner as claimed in claim 3, further including a drain pan which is disposed below said heat exchanger and serves to receive condensed water droplets from said heat exchanger and condensed water droplets from said refrigerating machine.
- 5. The air conditioner as claimed in claim 4, wherein said refrigerating device comprises an expansion valve for providing a pressure loss to the refrigerant when the refrigerant is guided to said heat exchanger, and a capillary tube.
- 6. An air conditioner wherein heat-exchanged air is blown through an air blow-out port provided at the front surface of a main body thereof, comprising:
- a case defining a ventilation path;
- a heat exchanger for heat-exchanging air passing through said ventilation path, the width of said heat exchanger being smaller than the width of said ventilation path;
- a pair of end plates provided at either side of said heat exchanger in the width direction so as to sandwich a heat-exchange portion of said heat exchanger therebetween, wherein at least one of said end plates is extended in the width direction of said ventilation path and a tip portion of said extended end plate is fixed to said case;
- a partition plate disposed in said case for partitioning the inside of said case into a ventilation room for blowing air through said case and an electrical-equipment room in which electrical parts are accommodated;
- a front plate for supporting a mount member which is accommodated in said electrical-equipment room and to which the electrical parts are secured, said front plate being disposed along the front surface of said main body; and
- a rear plate which has one end portion supporting the back side of said front plate and the other end portion fixed to said case, said rear plate supporting said front plate so as to form a space between said front plate and said case, and electrical parts being secured to said rear plate.
- 7. The air conditioner as claimed in claim 6, wherein a first electrical part which is light in weight is mounted on said front plate, and a second electrical part which is weightier than said first electrical part is mounted on said rear plate.
- 8. The air conditioner as claimed in claim 7, wherein said first electrical part is a print board, and said second electrical part is a transformer.
- 9. The air conditioner as claimed in claim 6, wherein a first electrical part for which service or maintenance is more frequently required is mounted on said front plate, and a second electrical part for which service or maintenance is less frequently required is mounted on said rear plate.
- 10. The air conditioner as claimed in claim 9, wherein said first electrical part is a switch part, and said second electrical part is a transformer.
- 11. An indoor unit for a separation type air conditioner which is mounted on a wall in a room, comprising:
- a case including a main body having a front surface which is a front panel which has a laterally elongated air suction grill at an upper portion thereof and an air blow-out port at a lower portion thereof and is secured to the front surface of said main body, and a ventilation path extending from said air suction grill to said air blow-out formed in said case;
- a heat exchanger disposed in said ventilation path so as to confront said air suction grill, the heat exchanger having a smaller width than said ventilation path;
- a cross flow fan disposed rearwardly of said heat exchanger in said ventilation path;
- end plates provided at both ends of said heat exchanger, at least one of said end plates having an extension portion which extends laterally of said ventilation path, said extension portion being secured to said main body; and
- a refrigerating device disposed between said extension portion and said front panel and connected to said heat exchanger.
- 12. The indoor unit as claimed in claim 11, further comprising a drain pan which is disposed below said heat exchanger and adapted to receive condensed water droplets from said heat exchanger and from said refrigerating device.
- 13. The indoor unit as claimed in claim 12, wherein said refrigerating device comprises an expansion valve for providing a pressure loss to the refrigerant when the refrigerant is guided to said heat exchanger, and a capillary tube.
