Claims
- 1. A near-infrared absorption filter comprising a phthalocyanine derivative of the formula (I) ##STR11## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.8, R.sup.9, R.sup.12, R.sup.13 and R.sup.16 independently are alkyl, arylmethyl, alkoxymethyl, alkylthiomethyl, alkylaminomethyl, dialkylaminomethyl, aryloxymethyl, arylthiomethyl, arylaminomethyl, diarylaminomethyl or alkylarylaminomethyl, wherein the total number of carbon, oxygen, nitrogen and sulfur atoms present in each of R.sup.1, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.8, R.sup.9, R.sup.12, R.sup.13 and R.sup.16 is in the range of 5 to 12; R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.6, R.sup.7, R.sup.10, R.sup.11, R.sup.14 and R.sup.15 independently are hydrogen, alkyl, arylmethyl, alkoxymethyl, alkylthiomethyl, alkylaminomethyl, dialkylaminomethyl, aryloxymethyl, arylthiomethyl, arylaminomethyl, diarylaminomethyl, alkylarylaminomethyl, alkylthio, arylthio, alkoxy, aryloxy or aryl, but all of R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.6, R.sup.7, R.sup.10, R.sup.ll, R.sup.14 and R.sup.15 are not hydrogen when all of R.sup.1, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.8, R.sup.9, R.sup.12, R.sup.13 and R.sup.16 are aryloxymethyl or alkyl; and Met is two hydrogen atoms, a divalent metal atom, a monosubstituted trivalent metal atom, a disubstituted tetravalent metal atom or an oxymetal group.
- 2. The near-infrared absorption filter of claim 1, wherein R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.6, R.sup.7, R.sup.10, R.sup.11, R.sup.14 and R.sup.15 independently are alkyl, arylmethyl, alkoxymethyl, alkylthiomethyl, alkylaminomethyl, dialkylaminomethyl, aryloxymethyl, arylthiomethyl, arylaminomethyl, diarylaminomethyl or alkylarylaminomethyl.
- 3. The filter of claim 1, wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.8, R.sup.9, R.sup.12, R.sup.13, and R.sup.16 independently are alkyl or arylmethyl groups having 5 to 12 carbon atoms.
- 4. The near-infrared absorption filter of claim 3, wherein R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.6, R.sup.7, R.sup.10, R.sup.11, R.sup.14 and R.sup.15 independently are alkyl or arylmethyl groups having 5 to 12 carbon atoms.
