Claims
- 1. An alternate high-molecule discharger apparatus for making a multi-core composite fiber or film comprising means forming a passageway and feed means communicating with said passageway for making a primary multi-layer structure of at least two immiscible fluids comprising a multiplicity of alternately arranged layers having interfaces extending substantially in a common direction, said common direction extending along the longitudinal flow direction of said primary multi-layer structure in said passageway,
- separating means in said passageway for separating portions of said layers along a direction extending at an angle to said interfaces,
- interposing means arranged relative to said passageway for interposing another immiscible fluid layer between said separated layers, thereby cutting said interfaces into a number of parts by said interposed immiscible fluid, thereby forming additional interfaces extending at an angle to the aforesaid interfaces, thereby forming at least one component of the primary multi-layer structure into a multiplicity of spaced-apart cores, and
- discharging means for discharging the resulting multi-core structure from said passageway.
- 2. A multi-core composite fiber or film production apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the intersection angle between the interfaces of the primary multi-layer structure and said other immiscible fluid is .+-.(90.+-.45).+-.(integer).times.180.degree..
- 3. A multi-core composite fiber or film production apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein said feed means is arranged to provide a number of layers of said primary multi-layer structure above 1.5 times the sum of the number of said primary multi-layer structure and said other immiscible fluid in said multi-core composite fiber.
- 4. A multi-core composite fiber or film production apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein said primary multi-layer structure is constructed and arranged to cut a fluid stream having at least two of said immiscible fluids across their interfaces to form at least two parts, and wherein said interposing means includes reassembling means constructed and arranged to reassembled the two parts without rotation thereof and to expand and thin the immiscible fluids thereby increasing said interfaces between the fluids in size.
- 5. A multi-core composite fiber or film production apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein means are provided wherein cutting said primary multi-layer structure is made by repeatedly cutting a fluid stream having at least two of said immiscible polymer fluids into at least two small parts, thus forming an interface and increasing the interface between said immiscible fluids in size and rejoining them without rotation thereof.
- 6. A multi-core composite fiber of film production apparatus as claimed in claim 4, wherein mixer means are provided for making said multi-core composite fiber, including a plurality of repeated structures for cutting repeatedly the primary multi-layer structure thus forming a plurality of interfaces, and a plurality of rejoining means for repeatedly rejoining them without rotation thereof and increasing the interface between said primary multi-layer structure in size.
- 7. A multi-core composite fiber or film production apparatus as claimed in claim 6, wherein the mixing means is so proportioned that the total sectional area of said divided fluids is substantially equal to that of the subsequently rejoined fluid.
- 8. A multi-core composite fiber or film production apparatus as claimed in claim 4, wherein mixer means are provided for making said multi-core composite fiber comprising a plurality of cutter means for cutting overlapped layers of the primary multi-layer structure and said other immiscible fluid, thus forming a plurality of interfaces and increasing the interfaces in size.
- 9. A multi-core composite fiber or film production apparatus as claimed in claim 8, wherein said mixer means are so proportioned that the total sectional area of said divided fluids is substantially equal to that of the subsequently rejoined fluid.
- 10. A multi-core composite fiber or film production apparatus as claimed in claim 4, wherein said mixer means are so proportioned that the total sectional area of said divided fluid is substantially equal to that of the subsequently rejoined fluid.
- 11. A multi-core composite fiber or film production apparatus as claimed in claim 10 wherein means are provided for introducing said interposed fluid in the form of a multi-layer structure.
- 12. A multi-core composite fiber or film continuous production apparatus as claimed in cliam 1, further comprising sheath-forming means for covering the multi-core composite fiber with still another fluid to form a sheath-core structure, and wherein nozzle means are provided in conjunction with said passageway for discharging the combined structure.
- 13. A multi-core composite fiber or film production apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein said interposing means are provided for introducing the interposed immiscible fluid in the form of the same fluid as either of the components of said primary multi-layer structure.
