Claims
- 1. A process for producing a dicarboxylic acid amide compound of formula (5): which comprises reacting an amide of formula (1): with an alcohol or water of formula (4):R5OH (4) wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic hydrocarbon group, an alicyclic hydrocarbon group or an aromatic hydrocarbon group, the hydrocarbon groups may optionally have a substituent, R1 and R2 may form a ring with an adjacent nitrogen atom, and R3 and R4 may form a ring with an adjacent carbon atom wherein R5 represents a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic hydrocarbon group, an alicyclic hydrocarbon group or an aromatic hydrocarbon group, the hydrocarbon groups may optionally have a substituent.
