Claims
- 1. A compound comprising a moiety of the formula N.sup..alpha. -tert-butoxycarbonyl-N.sup..alpha. -(N-bromoacetyl-.beta.-alanyl)-L-lysine and further comprising a peptide moiety.
- 2. A trifunctional compound comprising:
- (a) a haloacetyl or other haloacyl functional group;
- (b) an un-ionized carboxyl group, carboxylate salt, carboxylic acid active ester, acyl halide, symmetrical anhydride or mixed anhydride;
- (c) a protected primary or secondary amine, wherein the protecting group is removable; and
- (d) a peptide moiety.
- 3. A compound of the formula N.sup..alpha. -tert-butoxycarbonyl-N.sup..alpha. -N-bromoacetyl-.beta.-alanyl)-L-lysine, further comprising a material conjugated thereto, wherein said material is selected from the group consisting of peptides, sugars, lipids, proteins.
- 4. A trifunctional compound comprising:
- (a) a haloacetyl or other haloacyl functional group;
- (b) an un-ionized carboxyl group, carboxylate salt, carboxylic acid active ester, acyl halide, symmetrical anhydride or mixed anhydride;
- (c) a protected primary or secondary amine, wherein the protecting group is removable; and further comprising a material conjugated thereto, wherein said material is selected from the group consisting of peptides, sugars, lipids, and proteins.
- 5. A compound of the formula N.sup..alpha. -tert-butoxycarbonyl-N.sup..alpha. -(N-bromoacetyl-.beta.-alanyl)-L-lysine, further comprising a material conjugated thereto, wherein said material is selected from the group consisting of ceramics, glasses and silicas.
- 6. A trifunctional compound comprising:
- (a) a haloacetyl or other haloacyl functional group;
- (b) an un-ionized carboxyl group, carboxylate salt, carboxylic acid active ester, acyl halide, symmetrical anhydride or mixed anhydride;
- (c) a protected primary or secondary amine, wherein the protecting group is removable; and further comprising a material conjugated thereto, wherein said material is selected from the group consisting of ceramics, glasses and silicas.
- 7. A compound of the formula N.sup..alpha. -tert-butoxycarbonyl-N.sup..alpha. -(N-bromoacetyl-.beta.-alanyl)-L-lysine, further comprising a functional group-bearing polymeric material conjugated thereto.
- 8. A trifunctional compound comprising:
- (a) a haloacetyl or other haloacyl functional group;
- (b) an un-ionized carboxyl group, carboxylate salt, carboxylic acid active ester, acyl halide, symmetrical anhydride or mixed anhydride;
- (c) a protected primary or secondary amine, wherein the protecting group is removable; and further comprising a functional group-bearing polymeric material conjugated thereto.
