Claims
- 1. An organofunctional silicone composition comprising units of the formula TD.sub.x M', wherein T represents a trifunctional siloxy group of the formula RSiO.sub.3/2 wherein R represents independently a saturated or unsaturated monovalent hydrocarbon radical; D represents a difunctional siloxy group of the formula R.sub.2 SiO.sub.2/2 wherein each R is independently defined as above; and M' represents a monofunctional siloxy group of the formula R.sub.2 R.sup.1 SiO.sub.1/2 wherein each R is independently defined as above and R.sup.1 represents a carboxyalkyl aminoalkyl group of the formula (HO.sub.2 C)(CH.sub.2).sub.m N(R.sup.2)(CH.sub.2).sub.n where R.sup.2 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group of from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms, and m and n each independently vary from 1 to about 10; x is greater than 1.
- 2. An organofunctional silicone composition comprising units of the formula TD.sub.x D'.sub.y M'.sub.3, wherein T represents a trifunctional siloxy group of the formula RSiO.sub.3/2 wherein R represents independently a saturated or unsaturated monovalent hydrocarbon radical; D represents a difunctional siloxy group of the formula R.sub.2 SiO.sub.2/2 wherein each R is independently defined as above; D' represents a difunctional siloxy group of the formula RR.sup.1 SiO.sub.2/2 wherein each R is independently defined as above and R.sup.1 represents a carboxyalkyl aminoalkyl group of the formula (HO.sub.2 C)(CH.sub.2).sub.m N(R.sup.2)(CH.sub.2).sub.n where R.sup.2 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group of from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms, and m and n each independently vary from 1 to about 10; M' represents a monofunctional siloxy group of the formula R.sub.2 R.sup.1 SiO.sub.1/2 wherein each R is independently defined as above and R.sup.1 is as above defined; x is greater than 1, and y is greater than 1.
- 3. An organofunctional silicone composition comprising units of the formula TD'.sub.y M'.sub.3, wherein T represents a trifunctional siloxy group of the formula RSiO.sub.3/2 wherein R represents independently a saturated or unsaturated monovalent hydrocarbon radical; D' represents a difunctional siloxy group of the formula RR.sup.1 SiO.sub.2/2 wherein each R is independently defined as above and R.sup.1 represents a carboxyalkyl aminoalkyl group of the formula (HO.sub.2 C)(CH.sub.2).sub.m N(R.sup.2)(CH.sub.2).sub.n where R.sup.2 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group of from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms, and m and n each independently vary from 1 to about 10; M' represents a monofunctional siloxy group of the formula R.sub.2 R.sup.1 SiO.sub.1/2 wherein each R is independently defined as above and R.sup.1 is as above defined; y is greater than 1.
- 4. An organofunctional silicone composition comprising units of the formula TD.sub.x D'.sub.y M.sub.3, wherein T represents a trifunctional siloxy group of the formula RSiO.sub.3/2 wherein R represents independently a saturated or unsaturated monovalent hydrocarbon radical; D represents a difunctional siloxy group of the formula R.sub.2 SiO.sub.2/2 wherein each R is independently defined as above; D' represents a difunctional siloxy group of the formula RR.sup.1 SiO.sub.2/2 wherein each R is independently defined as above and R.sup.1 represents a carboxyalkyl aminoalkyl group of the formula (HO.sub.2 C)(CH.sub.2).sub.m N(R.sup.2)(CH.sub.2).sub.n where R.sup.2 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group of from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms, and m and n each independently vary from 1 to about 10; M represents a monofunctional siloxy group of the formula R.sub.3 SiO.sub.1/2 wherein each R is independently defined as above; x is greater than 1, and y is greater than 1.
- 5. An organofunctional silicone composition comprising units of the formula TD'.sub.y M.sub.3, wherein T represents a trifunctional siloxy group of the formula RSiO.sub.3/2 wherein R represents independently a saturated or unsaturated monovalent hydrocarbon radical; D' represents a difunctional siloxy group of the formula RR.sup.1 SiO.sub.2/2 wherein each R is independently defined as above and R.sup.1 represents a carboxyalkyl aminoalkyl group of the formula (HO.sub.2 C)(CH.sub.2).sub.m N(R.sup.2)(CH.sub.2).sub.n where R.sup.2 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group of from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms, and m and n each independently vary from 1 to about 10; M represents a monofunctional siloxy group of the formula R.sub.3 SiO.sub.1/2 wherein each R is independently defined as above; and y is greater than 1.
- 6. An organofunctional silicone composition comprising units of the formula M'D.sub.x D'.sub.y M', wherein M' represents a monofunctional siloxy group of the formula R.sub.2 R.sup.1 SiO.sub.1/2 wherein each R represents independently a saturated or unsaturated monovalent hydrocarbon radical and R.sup.1 represents a carboxyalkyl aminoalkyl group of the formula (HO.sub.2 C)(CH.sub.2).sub.m N(R.sup.2)(CH.sub.2).sub.n where R.sup.2 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group of from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms, and m and n each independently vary from 1 to about 10; D represents a difunctional siloxy group of the formula R.sub.2 SiO.sub.2/2 wherein each R represents independently a saturated or unsaturated monovalent hydrocarbon radicale; D' represents a difunctional siloxy group of the formula RR.sup.1 SiO.sub.2/2 wherein each R is independently defined as above and R.sup.1 represents a carboxyalkyl aminoalkyl group of the formula (HO.sub.2 C)(CH.sub.2).sub.m N(R.sup.2)(CH.sub.2).sub.n where R.sup.2 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group of from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms, and m and n each independently vary from 1 to about 10; x is greater than 1, and y is greater than 1.
- 7. An organofunctional silicone composition comprising units of the formula M'D.sub.x M', wherein M' represents a monofunctional siloxy group of the formula R.sub.2 R.sup.1 SiO.sub.1/2 wherein each R represents independently a saturated or unsaturated monovalent hydrocarbon radical and R.sup.1 represents a carboxyalkyl aminoalkyl group of the formula (HO.sub.2 C)(CH.sub.2).sub.m N(R.sup.2)(CH.sub.2).sub.n where R.sup.2 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group of from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms, and m and n each independently vary from 1 to about 10; D represents a difunctional siloxy group of the formula R.sub.2 SiO.sub.2/2 wherein each R is independently defined as above; and x is greater than 1.
- 8. An organofunctional silicone composition comprising units of the formula M'D'.sub.y M', wherein M' represents a monofunctional siloxy group of the formula R.sub.2 R.sup.1 SiO.sub.1/2 wherein each R represents independently a saturated or unsaturated monovalent hydrocarbon radical and R.sup.1 represents a carboxyalkyl aminoalkyl group of the formula (HO.sub.2 C)(CH.sub.2).sub.m N(R.sup.2)(CH.sub.2).sub.n where R.sup.2 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group of from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms, and m and n each independently vary from 1 to about 10; D' represents a difunctional siloxy group of the formula RR.sup.1 SiO.sub.2/2 wherein each R is independently defined as above; and y is greater than 1.
- 9. An organofunctional silicone composition comprising units of the formula M'Q, wherein M' represents a monofunctional siloxy group of the formula R.sub.2 R.sup.1 SiO.sub.1/2 wherein each R represents independently a saturated or unsaturated monovalent hydrocarbon radical and R.sup.1 represents a carboxyalkyl aminoalkyl group of the formula (HO.sub.2 C)(CH.sub.2).sub.m N(R.sup.2)(CH.sub.2).sub.n where R.sup.2 represents hydrogen or an alkyl group of from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms, and m and n each independently vary from 1 to about 10; Q represents a quadrifunctional siloxy of the formula SiO.sub.4/2.
- 10. An organofunctional silicone composition as defined in claim 9 wherein R.sup.1 is N-(3-carboxypropyl)aminoethyl.
