Abstract
An amusement ride including at least one main chassis mounted and guided on at least one guide structure, wherein said at least one vehicle carries at least one rider along said at least one guide structure, wherein said at least one guide structure installed on at least one swing arm, wherein said at least one swing arm swinging/rotating around a swing axis, wherein the swing axis is supported by a frame, wherein the frame adapted to be mounted on a supporting surface.
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention is related to the field of amusement rides.


BACKGROUND

Amusement rides have long been some of the well liked riders in amusement parks. Rider load and unload at a platform, typically at the low elevation. At the beginning of each ride cycle, a Amusement ride vehicle is locked to be safe to upload riders. Vehicle is then released to gain kinetic energy from potential energy, if it is at the highest point of the track, or from electrical motor installed on the vehicle or track. The Amusement ride track typically includes various loops, turns, inversions and other configuration intended to thrill the rider. A number of amusement rides have been devised in which riders can apparently race each other in a simulated dragster format.


Traditional Amusement rides travel along rail tracks and provide their riders with stationary seat which fix the motion of the riders to the direction of the travel of vehicle.


The overall effect attained by traditional Amusement rides is to statically couple riders to the vehicle and therefore sense essentially the same motions in forces experienced by the vehicles in which they ride. This problem is experienced by most amusement rides, which due to static nature of the ride provides the same ride sensation and experience every time it is ridden.


Nowadays amusement rides have evolved from simple equipment to advanced and technically sophisticated equipment with special mechanisms and various movements. Thanks to virtual reality and by using new technology, new designs and software, riders experience more joy and excitement of amusement rides.


DESCRIPTION

Described amusement ride comprises at least one main chassis mounted and guided on at least one guide structure, wherein said at least one vehicle carries at least one rider along said at least one guide structure, wherein said at least one guide structure installed on at least one swing arm, wherein said at least one swing arm swinging/rotating around a swing axis, wherein the swing axis is supported by a frame, wherein the frame adapted to be mounted on a supporting surface.


SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Therefore, the object of the present invention comprises at least one main chassis mounted and guided on at least one guide structure, wherein said at least one vehicle carries at least one rider along said at least one guide structure, wherein said at least one guide structure installed on at least one swing arm, wherein said at least one swing arm swinging/rotating around a swing axis, wherein the swing axis is supported by a frame, wherein the frame adapted to be mounted on a supporting surface. Described amusement ride comprising:

    • A frame including at least one base support adapted to be mounted on a supporting surface, and a supporting location wherein said supporting location is distal from base support;
    • At least one swing arm rotatably/pivotally connected to the supporting location of said frame and rotates/swings around a swing axis;
    • At least one guide structure mounted on said at least one swing arm;
    • at least one main chassis mounted and guided on the guide structure, wherein said at least one main chassis arranged to carry at least one passenger along said guide structure; and,
    • at least one seat assembly comprising at least one passenger chassis mounted on said at least one main chassis, at least one seat installed on said at least one passenger chassis for the purpose of seating said at least one passenger, and at least one restraint means to maintain said at least one passenger safely; The passenger chassis can be rotatably mounted on the main chassis so that the passenger rotates freely around an axis, or the passenger chassis can be installed on the main chassis wherein the passenger chassis is fixed relative to main chassis. Additionally the passenger chassis can be installed wherein the passenger is sitting sideward, backward, upward or downward relative to the main chassis.
    • at least one swing drive means swinging/rotating said at least one swing arm around the swing axis.


The guide structure comprises at least one guide rail extending along a predetermined direction, wherein the guide structure forms a closed loop.


Said at least one swing drive means comprising at least one actuator or motor gearbox providing required power for rotating/swinging said at least one swing arm; Said at least one swing drive means is programmed to be used for different motion profiles.


The described amusement ride further comprises at least one drive means installed on swing arm or guide structure providing required power to move said at least one main chassis along the guide structure.


Furthermore, in the other embodiment of the invention the amusement ride comprising:

    • A support frame including at least one base support adapted to be mounted on a supporting surface, and a supporting location wherein said supporting location is distal from base support;
    • At least one rotary-swing arm having a swing crank-arm and a rotary head-arm; a first end of the swing crank-arm rotatably/pivotally connected to the supporting location of said frame and rotates/swings around a swing axis; a first end of the rotary head-arm rotatably/pivotally connected to a second end of the swing crank-arm rotating/swinging around a head axis.
    • At least one swing drive means swinging/rotating said swing crank-arm of the rotary-swing arm around the swing axis;
    • At least one head drive means for rotating/swinging said rotary head-arm around said head axis;
    • At least one guide structure mounted on a second end of said rotary head arm;
    • at least one main chassis mounted and guided on the guide structure, wherein said at least one main chassis arranged to carry at least one passenger along said guide structure;
    • at least one seat assembly comprising at least one passenger chassis mounted on said at least one main chassis, at least one seat installed on the passenger chassis for the purpose of seating said at least one passenger, and at least one restraint means to maintain said at least one passenger safely;


The passenger chassis can be rotatably mounted on the main chassis so that the passenger rotates freely around an axis, or the passenger chassis can be fixed on the main chassis wherein the passenger chassis is fixed relative to main chassis. Additionally the passenger chassis can be installed so that the passenger is sitting sideward, backward, upward, forward, or downward relative to the main chassis.


The guide structure includes at least one guide rail extending along predetermined direction, wherein the guide structure forms a closed loop.


Said at least one swing drive means comprising at least one actuator or motor gearbox providing required torque for rotating/rotating said at least one swing arm; Said at least one drive means is programmed to be used for different motion profiles.


Said at least one head drive means comprising at least one actuator or motor gearbox providing required torque for rotating/swinging said rotary head-arm around said head axis;


The described amusement ride further comprises at least one drive means installed on said at least one swing arm or guide structure providing required power to move said at least one main chassis along the guide structure.


Furthermore, in the other embodiment of the invention the head drive means can tilt the rotary head arm to the left and right, or up and down relative to the swing-crank arm and around the head axis.

FIG. 6A is a perspective view of another embodiment of described invention, wherein the head drive means 540 tilts the rotary head arm 512 to the left and right relative to the swing crank arm 510 and around the head axis 520.



FIG. 6B is a perspective view of another embodiment of described amusement ride, wherein the head drive means 540 tilts the rotary head arm 512 to the up and down relative to the swing crank arm 510 and around the head axis 520.

FIG. 10B is a front view of the guide structure wherein the passenger chassis is mounted on the main chassis with different orientation and at position relative to the main chassis and guide structure. The passenger chassis is mounted on the main chassis rotatably or fix depends on the design of the amusement ride.





DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENT

The description which follows and the embodiments described therein are provided by way of illustration of an example of particular embodiment of principles of present invention. This example is provided for the purposes of explanation and not limitation of those principles and of the invention.


The FIGS. 1 to 2B show the embodiment of an amusement ride, Comprising:

    • The frame 102 including at least one base support 100 adapted to be mounted on a supporting surface, and a supporting location wherein said supporting location is distal from base support vertically;
    • The swing arm 250 rotatably/pivotally connected to the supporting location 104 of said frame and rotates/swings around a swing axis 120 see (FIG. 1);
    • The guide structure 300 mounted on said at least one swing arm 250;
    • The main chassis 325 (FIG. 8A) mounted and guided on the guide structure 300, wherein said main chassis 325 arranged to carry at least one passenger 420 along said guide structure 300; and,
    • The seat assembly 400 (FIG. 8A) comprising at least one passenger chassis 440 mounted on said at least one main chassis 325, at least one seat 450 installed on said at least one passenger chassis 440 for the purpose of seating said at least one passenger, and at least one restraint means 430 to maintain said at least one passenger safely; (FIG. 8A).
    • at least one swing drive means 108 swinging/rotating said at least one swing arm around the swing axis 120. (FIG. 1)


The passenger chassis 440 of seat assembly 400 can be fixed on the main chassis 325 or can be rotatably mounted on the main chassis 440, wherein the passenger chassis 440 rotates/swings freely around an axis. (see FIG. 10B) Also the passenger chassis 440 is mounted on the main chassis 325 wherein the passenger 420 is sitting backward, sideward, forward, downward, or upward relative to the main chassis or guide structure.


The guide structure 300 includes at least one guide rail 330 (FIG. 9A) extending along predetermined direction, wherein the guide structure 300 forms a closed loop such as circle or any other shape, or an open loop. In the described amusement ride the guide structure forms a circle wherein main chassis rotates around a rotation axis 320, wherein the rotation axis is parallel with the swing axis 120. The guide structure further comprising at least one inertia ring 340 mounted on at least one chassis carrier 350, wherein the chassis carrier mounted and guided on the guide rail 330 by the means of at least one wheel set 360, wherein the main chassis mounted on the chassis carrier and moves along the guide rail.


The described amusement ride furthermore comprises at least one drive means 230, 232 providing required power to move said at least one main chassis, seat assembly and passenger along the guide structure. The drive means comprises an actuator, motor and gearbox 230 and a rubber tiered wheel 232 to drive the inertia ring 340 and move the chassis carrier 350 to move the main chassis 325 and the passenger along the guide rail 330.


The chain drive or LSM, induction motor, or any other mechanism can be utilized as drive means to move main chassis along the guide rail of the guide structure. Additionally the main chassis can move along the guide rail of the guide structure because of gravity or centrifugal forces due to rotating/swinging the swing arm.


Furthermore, in the other embodiment of the invention (FIG. 3A, 3B) the guide structure 300 can be mounted on the arm 270 wherein the rotation axis 320 is non-parallel relative to swing axis 120, and the passenger chassis mounted on the main chassis wherein the passenger is sitting backward relative to the guide structure.


The passenger chassis 440 of seat assembly 400 can be fixed on the main chassis 325 or can be rotatably mounted on the main chassis 440, wherein the passenger chassis 440 rotates/swings freely around an axis. (see FIG. 10B) Also the passenger chassis 440 is mounted on the main chassis 325 wherein the passenger 420 is sitting backward, sideward, forward, downward, or upward relative to the main chassis or guide structure.


ANOTHER EMBODIMENT OF DESCRIBED INVENTION

The FIGS. 4, 5 show the embodiment of an amusement ride, Comprising:

    • A support frame 102 including at least one base support adapted to be mounted on a supporting surface, and a supporting location wherein said supporting location is distal from base support vertically;
    • At least one rotary-swing arm 500 having a swing crank-arm 510 and a rotary head-arm 512; a first end of the swing crank-arm 510 rotatably/pivotally connected to the supporting location of said frame 102 and rotates/swings around a swing axis 120; a first end of the rotary head-arm 512 rotatably/pivotally connected to a second end of the swing crank-arm 510 rotating/swinging around a head axis 520.
    • At least one swing drive means 108 swinging/rotating said swing crank-arm of the rotary-swing arm around the swing axis 120;
    • At least one head drive means 540 for rotating/swinging said rotary head-arm around said head axis 520;
    • A guide structure 300 mounted on a second end of said rotary head arm 512;
    • at least one main chassis 325 mounted and guided on the guide structure 300, wherein said at least one main chassis arranged to carry at least one passenger 420 along said guide structure;
    • The seat assembly 400 (FIG. 8A) comprising at least one passenger chassis 440 mounted on said at least one main chassis 325, at least one seat 450 installed on said at least one passenger chassis 440 for the purpose of seating said at least one passenger, and at least one restraint means 430 to maintain said at least one passenger safely; (FIG. 8A).
    • at least one swing drive means 108 swinging/rotating said at least one swing arm around the swing axis 120. (FIG. 1)


The passenger chassis 440 of seat assembly 400 can be fixed on the main chassis 325 or can be rotatably mounted on the main chassis 440, wherein the passenger chassis 440 rotates/swings freely around an axis. (see FIG. 10B) Also the passenger chassis 440 is mounted on the main chassis 325 wherein the passenger 420 is sitting backward, sideward, forward, downward, or upward relative to the main chassis or guide structure.

    • The head drive means 540 comprising at least one actuator or motor gearbox providing required torque for rotating/swinging said rotary head-arm around said head axis 520;
    • The drive means 230, 232 providing required power to move said at least one main chassis along the guide structure.


The chain drive or LSM, induction motor, or any other mechanism can be utilized as drive means to move main chassis along the guide rail of the guide structure. Additionally the main chassis can move along the guide rail of the guide structure because of gravity or centrifugal forces due to rotating/swinging the swing arm.


Furthermore, in the other embodiment of the invention (FIG. 6A) the head drive means 540 can tilts the rotary head arm 512 to the left and right relative to the swing-crank arm 510 and around the head axis 520 (See FIG. 6A).


Furthermore, in the other embodiment of the invention (FIG. 6B) the head drive means 540 can tilts the rotary head arm 512 to the up and down relative to the swing-crank arm 510 and around the head axis 520 (See FIG. 6B).


In another configuration of the invention a double swing arm 600 as it is shown in the FIG. 7 can be utilized for all aforementioned embodiments.

Claims
  • 1. An amusement, comprising: A frame including at least one base support adapted to be mounted on a supporting surface, and a supporting location wherein said supporting location is distal from base support;At least one swing arm rotatably/pivotally connected to the supporting location of said frame and rotates/swings around a swing axis;At least one guide structure mounted on said at least one swing arm;at least one main chassis mounted and guided on the guide structure, wherein said at least one main chassis arranged to carry at least one passenger along said at least one guide structure;at least one seat assembly comprising at least one passenger chassis mounted on said at least one main chassis, at least one seat installed on said at least one passenger chassis for the purpose of seating said at least one passenger, and at least one restraint means to maintain said at least one passenger safely; and,at least one swing drive means swinging/rotating said at least one swing arm around the swing axis.
  • 2. The amusement ride of claim 1 wherein said at least one guide structure includes at least one guide rail extending along a predetermined direction.
  • 3. The amusement ride of claim 1 wherein said at least one guide structure forms a closed loop.
  • 4. The amusement ride of claim 1 wherein said at least one swing drive means comprising at least one actuator or motor gearbox providing required power for rotating/swinging said at least one swing arm; Said at least one swing drive means is programmed to be used for different motion profiles.
  • 5. The amusement ride of claim 1 further comprises at least one drive means providing required power to move said at least one main chassis along said at least one guide structure.
  • 6. An amusement, comprising: A support frame including at least one base support adapted to be mounted on a supporting surface, and a supporting location wherein said supporting location is distal from base support;At least one rotary-swing arm having a swing crank-arm and a rotary head-arm; a first end of the swing crank-arm rotatably/pivotally connected to the supporting location of said frame and rotates/swings around a swing axis; a first end of the rotary head-arm rotatably/pivotally connected to a second end of the swing crank-arm rotating/swinging around a head axis.At least one swing drive means swinging/rotating said swing crank-arm of the rotary-swing arm around the swing axis;At least one head drive means for rotating/swinging said rotary head-arm around said head axis;At least one guide structure mounted on a second end of said rotary head arm;at least one main chassis mounted and guided on said at least one guide structure, wherein said at least one main chassis arranged to carry at least one passenger along said at least one guide structure;at least one seat assembly comprising at least one passenger chassis mounted on said at least one main chassis, at least one seat installed on the passenger chassis for the purpose of sitting said at least one passenger, and at least one restraint means to maintain said at least one passenger safely;
  • 7. The amusement ride of claim 6 wherein said at least one guide structure includes at least one guide rail extending along predetermined direction.
  • 8. The amusement ride of claim 6 wherein said at least one guide structure forms a closed loop.
  • 9. The amusement ride of claim 6 wherein said at least one swing drive means comprising at least one actuator or motor gearbox providing required torque for rotating/rotating said at least one swing arm; Said at least one drive means is programmed to be used for different motion profiles.
  • 10. The amusement ride of claim 6 wherein said at least one head drive means means comprising at least one actuator or motor gearbox providing required torque for rotating/swinging said rotary head-arm around said head axis;
  • 11. The amusement ride of claim 6 further comprises at least one drive means providing required power to move said at least one main chassis along said at least one guide structure.
