The present invention relates to an anchor encased in a box-shaped frame embedded in a structure of a house such as an apartment, a detached house, or a townhouse. More particularly, the present invention relates to an anchor encased in a box-shaped frame embedded in a structure of a house, the anchor being embedded in the structure of a house when a ceiling is constructed from concrete slab, and being used for easily hanging a hammock, a table, or a variety of kinds of exercise equipment from a ceiling, for providing an agreeable living space to people.

2. Background of the Related Art

Generally, many living spaces such as apartments, detached houses, and townhouses have a variety of kinds of facilities for convenience, such as a swing for kids or exercise equipment, therein.

Of the facilities for convenience, a swing or some exercise equipment is generally used in a state of being hung using a doorframe, or using walls disposed only a small distance apart from each other. On the other hand, a small sandbag or some exercise equipment is installed to be hung from a ceiling using anchor bolts. It is known that hammocks, chairs, tables and exercise equipment generally occupy some areas in a living space.

The swing or exercise equipment installed using a doorframe acts as an obstacle when people enter or exit a room through the door frame to which the swing or exercise equipment is installed. Further, since a fixing bar for hanging a swing is generally installed in a doorframe, people must enter or exit the room while bending down their necks or bodies. Accordingly, it is very inconvenient.

In the case of hanging a sandbag or exercise equipment from a ceiling using anchor bolts, separate anchor fixing work is needed. In particular, in order to fix anchors to a ceiling, special tools and a specialized worker such as a carpenter are needed. Further, when fixing an anchor, neighbors or residents in a house may have unpleasant feelings because the fixing operation is very noisy. Still further, a ceiling can be damaged when an anchor is fixed to the ceiling.

Now, embodiments of the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

FIG. 1 is a perspective sectional view illustrating an anchor encased in a box-shaped frame embedded in a framework in a ceiling according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a sectional view illustrating an installation state of the anchor according to the embodiment of the present invention.

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the anchor encased in a box-shaped frame according to the present invention comprises a box-shaped frame 10 having an open lower end. The box-shaped frame 10 is embedded in a ceiling slab 1. The box-shaped frame 10 has a plurality of fixing flanges 11 at the outer surface thereof. The fixing flanges 11 are attached to the outer surfaces of the box-shaped frame 10 in a protruding manner.

An anchor bolt 13 having a hook 12 at a first end is disposed in the box-shaped frame 10. The open lower end of the box-shaped frame 10 is closed by a cover 14 which is detachable from the box-shaped frame 10.

The anchor bolt 13 can be installed in the box-shaped frame 10 in a manner such that it is fixed to the upper end of the box-shaped frame 10 using a fixing nut 15.

Alternatively, referring to FIG. 3, the anchor bolt 13 can be installed in the box-shaped frame 10 in the following manner. A movable plate 16 being able to be moved in the vertical direction is installed inside the box-shaped frame 10. Supports 17 are installed to protrude inward from the inner surface of the box-shaped frame 10 for preventing the movable plate 16 from being removed from the box-shaped frame 10. The anchor bolt 13 is fixed to the movable plate 16, so that the anchor bolt 13 can move in the vertical direction in the box-shaped frame 10 along with the movable plate 16.

Alternatively, referring to FIG. 4, a threaded shaft 20 can be installed across the inner space of the box-shaped frame 10 in a manner such that respective ends of the threaded shaft 20 are fixed to opposite inner surfaces of the box-shaped frame 10, and a rotatable pipe 21 is installed to surround the threaded shaft 20. That is, the rotatable pipe 21 is installed such that the threaded shaft 20 is disposed in the rotatable pipe 21. The rotatable pipe 21 is coupled to the anchor bolt 13 in the perpendicular direction, so that the anchor bolt 13 can pivot together with the rotatable pipe 21. As a result, the anchor bolt 13 is encased in the box-shaped frame 10 or is exposed outside the box-shaped frame 10.

Referring to FIG. 3, the cover 14 is detachably attached to the box-shaped frame 10 in the following manner. That is, the box-shaped frame 10 has recesses 18 on the inner surface near a lower end thereof for receiving edges of the cover 14 therein. The recesses 18 are formed to be depressed from the inner surface of the box-shaped frame 10 when viewing the recess 18 from the inside of the box-shaped frame 10. The cover 14 has elastic tension parts 19 having a shape corresponding to the recesses 18 at its edges, so that the cover 14 is attached to the box-shaped frame 10 such that the elastic tension part 19 can be held in the recess 18 by elastic force. The cover 14 is detachable from the box-shaped frame 10 due to the elastic tension of the elastic tension part 19.

Alternatively, the cover 14 can be attached to the box-shaped frame 10 such that an edge part of the cover 14 is fixed to a portion of the lower end of the box-shaped frame 10 in a hinged manner, and the opposite edge part of the cover 14 is fixed to the recess 18 by the tension part 19. In this instance, the cover 14 can be pivotably opened and closed on a hinge shaft. Reference characters 2 and 3 which are not described above are a rope and an installation object, respectively.

The operation of the anchor encased in a box-shaped frame embedded in the structure of a house will be described below in more detail.

The anchor with a box-shaped frame according to the present invention is installed to be embedded in the ceiling of a house, when using a concrete slab to construct a ceiling of a house. That is, if the concrete slab is cured in the state in which the box-shaped frame 10 is embedded in the concrete slab, the box-shaped frame 10 is securely fixed to a ceiling and embedded in the ceiling slab 1.

In this instance, since the plurality of fixing flanges 11 protruding from the outer surface of the box-shaped frame 10 are provided, the bonding force between the ceiling slab 1 and the box-shaped frame 10 is enhanced. Accordingly, objects hung from the ceiling using the anchor according to the present invention do not fall down even if the objects are heavy, such as exercise equipment or furniture such as a table.

Further, when the anchor bolt 13 having a hook 12 at the first end thereof is fixed in the box-shaped frame 10, since the anchor bolt 13 is fixed using a fixing nut 15 disposed on the upper surface of the box-shaped frame 10 in a threaded manner, the anchor bolt 13 has strong bonding force to the box-shaped frame 10.

Still further, since the cover 14 attached to the opened lower end of the box-shaped frame 10 using tension parts 19 is elastic, the cover 14 can be attached and detached easily or in a simple manner from the box-shaped frame 10.

The cover 14 is attached to the lower end of the box-shaped frame 10 in order to close the opening of the box-shaped frame 10 when the anchor bolt 13 is not used. Accordingly, the ceiling having the anchor according to the present invention embedded therein can maintain a neat appearance.

If a user wants to install a variety of facilities to be hung from the ceiling using the anchor bolt 13, the cover 14 is detached from the box-shaped frame 10, and the facilities can be hung using the anchor bolt 13 and the hook 12.

Referring to FIG. 3, the anchor bolt 13 can be fixed to the movable plate 16 disposed in the box-shaped frame 10. In this case, after the cover 14 is removed, the movable plate 16 and the anchor bolt 13 move downward due to their weight, so that the anchor bolt 13 is exposed outside the box-shaped frame 10 and is then easily used. As described above, since the movable plate 16 is freely movable in the vertical direction in the box-shaped frame 10, if the cover 14 is coupled to the lower end of the box-shaped frame 10, the movable plate 16 moves upward by being pushed by the cover 14. That is, the movable plate 16 can be completely embedded in the box-shaped frame 10 when the cover 14 is installed, but is exposed when the cover 14 is removed from the frame 10 by moving downward due to its weight.

Further, since the supports 17 are provided on the inner surface of the lower end part of the framework in a protruding manner in order to prevent the movable plate 16 from being separated or removed from the box-shaped frame 10, the movement of the movable plate 16 is limited by the supports 17 when the movable plate 16 moves downward.

In particular, referring to FIG. 4, since the anchor bolt 13 is coupled to a middle portion of the rotatable pipe 21 in the perpendicular direction, and the rotatable pipe 21 engages with the threaded shaft 20 such that the threaded shaft 20 fixed onto the inner surfaces of the box-shaped frame 10 and installed while crossing the inner space of the box-shaped frame 10 is inserted in the rotatable pipe 21, the rotatable pipe 21, the anchor bolt 13 and the hook 12 can freely pivot using the threaded shaft 20 as a pivot shaft.

Accordingly, when the cover 14 is removed from the box-shaped frame 10, the rotatable pipe 21, the anchor bolt 13 and the hook 12 are pivoted downward, so that they can be exposed outside the box-shaped frame 10. On the other hand, if a user wants to attach the cover 14 to the lower end of the box-shaped frame 10, the anchor bolt 13 is pivoted upward, so that the anchor bolt 13 is received in the box-shaped frame 10, and the cover is then attached to the box-shaped frame 10.

The threaded shaft 20 can be fixed to the box-shaped frame 10 through a welding method, or through a coupling method using a bolt and a nut.

According to the present invention, the cover 14 can have a variety of designs so that the anchor can be more effectively used. That is, the cover 14 can be elastically coupled to the box-shaped frame 10 using the elastic force of the elastic tension parts 19 provided to opposite edges of the cover 14, but also can be coupled to the box-shaped frame 10 in a hinged manner along one edge, in which the opposite edge portion of the cover 14 is provided with the elastic tension part 19 to be coupled to the box-shaped frame 10 by the elastic force, so that the cover 14 is not completely detached from the box-shaped frame 10 when the cover 14 is opened. That is, in the case that the cover 14 is coupled to the framework in the hinged manner, the cover 14 is prevented from being separated from the framework by the hinged edge when the cover 14 is opened. Accordingly, the anchor bolt 13 can be used in the state in which the cover 14 is detached or not detached from the box-shaped frame 10.

Accordingly, as shown in FIG. 6, a variety of facilities, such as a swing for kids 3, can be hung from a ceiling using the anchor bolt 13, the hook 12 and the rope 2.

Further, as shown in FIG. 7, a variety of facilities 3 such as a sandbag or a rope that will hung or pulled by a user can be installed to be hung from a ceiling using the anchor.

The facilities 3 can be a swing for kids, a hammock, a chair with no legs, a table with no legs, and so on. That is, the facilities 3 can be objects that must be hung to be used. Examples of such facilities 3 include exercise equipment including a small sandbag, a single crossing rope, and an iron bar.

The anchor encased in a box-shaped frame can be installed in many places including a living room, a family room, a bathroom and so on when building a house, so that a user can easily install facilities to be hung using the anchor and can effectively use the anchor. Anchors having a variety of sizes are preferably installed when building a house. The number of anchors installed in a house may vary according to user's desires. By effectively using the anchors according to the present invention, a living space can be reasonably and effectively used.

As described above, the anchor according to the present invention has many advantages as follows:

First, it is possible to easily install, fix and use facilities for convenience in a living space, since toys such as a swing for kids, exercise equipment such as a small sandbag, a hammock, a chair with no legs, a single rope and a horizontal iron bar, or furniture, such as a table with no legs, can be easily installed in a hanging manner.

Second, the anchor enhances the usability of space, and reduces the amount of dead space in a living space.

Third, the anchor can arouse the interest of people because objects hang from a ceiling.

Fourth, the anchor allows a variety of objects, instruments and facilities to be hung easily in a simple manner from a ceiling without causing damage to the ceiling and without needing any complicated installation work.

Fifth, the anchor is useful and effective because it is not exposed outside the structure of a house, thereby giving a neat appearance when it is not used, thanks to the cover.

While the present invention has been shown and described with reference to exemplary embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those having ordinary skill in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention as defined by the following claims. Therefore, it is to be understood that the above-described embodiments have been provided only in a descriptive sense and are not to be construed as placing any limitation on the scope of the invention.
